" In Philadelphia in early 1916, Durborough arrived in the Stutz, driving it up and down in front of the theater where the film was showing, firing a gun to get attention." shootingthegreatwar.blogspot.com
"On the Firing Line with the Germans" (USA, 1915) by Wilbur H. Durborough and cameraman Irving Guy Ries
The Stutz Bearcat was America's first sports car. An excellent choice for this documentary. Kind of like a Bently Mulsanne with gold trim. Great story from Jay Leno on his older model. Not much info on the filmmaker after this film.
Wilber Harold Durborough took his Graflex camera to film Pancho Villa in 1914 for Newspaper Enterprise Association then shot his German war film right after. He then toured with the film for a year. Then disappeared. He died at age 63 in 1946 in Pasadena. shootingthegreatwar.blogspot.com/2017/06/wilbur…
There is an unpublished fictional (?) autobiography of Durborough's early years in the LOC lccn.loc.gov/mm2011085592and a mention that he worked in Chicago as a correspondent after his two trips. Gifted by his son Brian in 2011. Kinda reminds me of Reds.
John Reed who wrote an excellent book "Ten Days that Shook The World" and Durborough are now out of sync with history and perhaps subject to Stockholm Syndrome...but both captured moments in history that were swept away by popular media. amazon.ca/Ten-days-that-…

Trump sent 269 billion of our tax money back to 153 million Americans this year. Mostly to those who made < $75K a year. A total of 651 American billionaires increased their wealth by over $1 trillion in 2020. Commies and Libertarians begin arguing now. inequality.org/great-divide/u…
I am a Anarchist/Libertarian/Lumberjack in my thinking, but this year we saw the need for 1) a national health response 2)a safety net for those most vulnerable and 3) depoliticizing and deprofiting rapid disaster response. Add one incompetent, venal president and boom..disaster.
We spend billions on watching for nukes, Mexicans who steal our jobs on welfare, police and military but we don't view a virus as a national threat greater than al Qaeda, ISIS, hackers, Russia, China and Trump's tax's combined? 18M affected, 326K dead, 3.5k a day #Trumpageddon

Looks like Trump is being pitched immunity for silence from MBS and Haftar on Erik Prince and Jared. Too late Donald. Cat is out of the bag and documents locked down. #WhoWillBeJaredsJailBitch? africaintelligence.com/north-africa_d…
"Brinkema...wants to determine whether his Libyan National Army (LNA) was acting under the orders of any political authority during the recapture of Benghazi in 2014 and during the siege of Tripoli in 2019" David Schenker will appear before Jan 4.
Prince had Haftar flown around just before he was made head of the LNA. Jared paid Prince and Haftar millions of dollars of MBz money to kill people in Tripoli. Yeah its a big deal.
