After the Iraq War, I began this journey to become an ER doctor @swc_news then transferred to @UCBerkeley in 2007. One day while driving to campus the radio was dialed to @kpfa and @democracynow. I was like what is this?? It was akin to a college education
.@democracynow talked about the Iraq War, police shootings of blacks, prison industrial complex and immigration in way that resonated with me.
I show this picture a lot, but what you don't know is that all of these mortars were imprinted with, "Made in the USA." It was through @democracynow that I learned about the Iran-Iraq War. Years later, Iraqi insurgents were killing us with munitions we supplied them. 
As a college student, I began to speak out against the war and dehumanization of Iraqis. One day Amy Goodman and her brother David spoke @UCBerkeley during a book signing.
So I walk up to the table and Amy Goodman is there... I wanted to say all these things about the war and how much I loved the show but only ended up saying.. "uhh, uhh.. thank you." I totally folded. 😂🤣😂
Two years ago, during residency, I chaperoned my child's 4th grade class to the @democracynow studio and got to watch a show. It was amazing!
I've been a fan of @democracynow for 13 years, so my 2020 Christmas 🎁 is being a guest on the show and speaking to Amy Goodman & @juangon68!
I also loved seeing Amy Goodman smile while introducing my song "Rise Up Now" for the @democracynow music break! Merry Christmas🎄
