HBOMax needs to upgrade their CDN
We're an hour into #WW84 and we've buffered three times, all three times the picture has degraded from 4k to SD.
We have a gigabit connection from Xfinity, and have never once buffered during playback from Netflix

This is on a Vizio TV with a hardwired network connection to the router.
Who could possibly have predicted this
Watching this movie is like alternating between the E3 demo reels for Cyberpunk 2077 and the actual gameplay videos every 30 seconds
Buffered again. My daughter noticed the progress bar and asked "how are they going to wrap this up in 35 minutes?!" and I explained that since it's HBOMax they actually have more like an hour
Y'all. We made it to the end. The buffering and downscaling was maddening, and completely ruined the movie watching experience.
Rough estimate: of the 2.5 hours, 1/3 was in 4k. The rest was a mix of 1080p and SD.
