I had a debate with someone today about this ridiculous comment they like to use.

if we have a group named "white" xyz we would be wrong. I find this argument so telling. Did the KKK have white in the name? does proud boys have it? Does the wolverine watchmen have it?

it's the same absurd premise that FB uses when they say they will take down any white supremacists groups from the platform. How do you know by the name? Like the algos are looking for white supremacy, not the names they are making up.

the concept of code words used is lost on most of you. like urban, rural, middle america, & etc used in racist ways. They are just words, right? This is why disinfo works some of you literally need to see the words white supremacy coming out of their mouths to even believe it.

all of it will sit in plausibility deniability but I actually have a name for it.

The benefit of the doubt until you can't anymore. It's an American mantra.

Which by the way most of you only really grant this to racists and white supremacists. And those that harm others.

Including the nonsense statements about being a patriot, not a racist. just an FYI to the rest of us we know you are a racist because trying to claim with this level of distinction you aren't means you are trying too damn hard. Along with white nationalism.

Here's the other part of the argument I had. But there are PoC in these groups how can they be white supremacists.

to each of you, I have so much to say but this is my key point. ALLLLLL of a sudden diversity matters?!! REALLY?!!

The concept that if there is a single PoC represented then in these instances it seems they get to represent all of us. I find that convenient. All of a sudden matching population percentages as evidence no longer matters. All you need is one of each and you're good.

I'm not even going to have a stats debate I was just making a point. Tokenism works just fine and suddenly diversity matters when it matches your ability to deny racism exists. It's a thing. A thing I've had to deal with quite a bit.

this is the perfect example. One photo was and is all some need to say the civil war wasn't about slavery and it wasn't a racist war about the right to keep Black humans enslaved for economic gain. despite 1776 all men were not actually planned to be considered equals.

to the contrary, it seems no matter what some of these white supremacist groups say, even their actions, no matter how many times they threaten others even in my home DC caught on camera. That's STILL not enough. Somehow one instance doesn't apply. I wonder why?

I'm saying all of this to say as we move into 2021 we will repeat what happened these last few years if so many of you continue on this path. This includes dealing with you and yours. It's not an "over there" problem some of you need to check your own households first.

I've found it interesting how hard this is for so many of you. Not just about racism but literally about a virus that doesn't care who you are.

What I learned this year:

Americans will NOT avoid the plague. And it's not just about #AgentOrange45 y'all made decisions.

What sparked this thread is I got another report from someone banned for another 30 days from FB. They were talking about Covid and made comparisons about culture. The term "white world" was used by them and they were banned. The article had "white people" in the headline. FYI!

We have always operated in very different worlds. This includes how we engage and are treated on these platforms and off. I've documented much of it. It's not a commentary about the tech it's an indictment on our society.

Some "individuals" going into 2021 ignoring this fact.

I'm going to get back to my reports. I was going to connect the dots further to the bombing in Nashville and instead I'm going to leave it here and write. Maybe, I will do another one or add on, I'll see.
