Criticism and debate on governance in Nigeria is also marginalised. What's the point if only praise is allowed by the government such that even a constitutional authority as the legislature, is not allowed to function independently?
In a democracy, keeping track of government activities, being concerned about use of resources, and highlighting failures in policies are needed. As much as you will find those supporting its policies and decisions. Each one is supposed to allow govt improve...
...make society progressive and inclusive. Can anyone honestly expect any improvement in the power-generation sector in the nearest future? Deluded minds can. The driving force of praise and overwhelming support is not real progress as much as its grand delusions.
It's almost like self-gratification what keeps Nigerians motivated and looking forward to the next day when they provide their own electricity, water, roads and security. How on earth can any government official beat their chest over salary payment?!
Nigerians are citizens, not subjects. In true democracies, everyone has the right to criticise government without fear, publicly humiliation and prosecution by anyone, least of all the government.
The same group of people that rode on the back of the tiger against GEJ's administration, have suddenly no appetite for the same being meted out to them. They had no qualms when he criticised GEJ, but now claim he's fanning the embers of unrest.

If I could write about the way you make me feel
I wonder what I'd write
Cause of all the words there are to use
They never say it right
When I only have a minute &
It'd take a thousand hours & some new words too
But my nights are never blue
I don't mind the rain when I'm with you
When I'm with you the songs are already written
Melodies turn into words nobody's ever said
When I'm alone the only thing I can say that's true
Is my nights are never blue
And I don't mind the rain when I'm with you
So if I could write about the way you make me feel
I don't know what I'd write
Cause of all the words there are to use
They'd never say it right
When I only have a minute and
It'd take a thousand hours
And all those new words too
But my nights are never blue
And I don't mind the rain when I'm with you

How do people cope with the same promises in pulpits Sunday after Sunday?

"After today, your life shall never be the same again".

Say after me, "this year I shall seat with Governors".

I mean do you need to pay tithe and offerings to say those?

#ImWalkingAway
Instead of boasting about your riches and how you have never begged in your life, why not make sure your members can actually make it to service and never beg in THEIR lives?

They don't even prepare them to face real situational problems. 1. How to avoid kidnappers etc.

@nispid we have always tried to do the little that we can. The pandemic has brought unique challenges that even the biggest organisations have struggled. We have had no support from anywhere. Thanks to my wife for going to the remotest places in Benue, to find people in need.
We helped her kick start her business. @EbaForBreakfast
We had a video call with her. She was on the floor being grateful. Nothing we said would make her stand up. She has hope for a future again. @destydan2012

The right to ownership & control of natural resources under the Nigerian law is constitutional. The Constitution of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) section 44 (3) & item 39 Schedule II of the Exclusive Legislative List vests the control & management of the
natural resources & hydrocarbon operations on the federal government 'FOR THE COMMON GOOD & BENEFIT OF IT'S CITIZENS.
Natural resources are raw materials that come from the Earth. They occur naturally, which means that humans cannot make natural resources. Instead,
we use & modify them in ways that are beneficial to us.

If natural resources come from living things or organic materials, then they are considered biotic resources. Biotic resources include plants, animals, & fossil fuels.

Connectivity is one of the main pillars that are defining life in the 21st century. People easily claim that the world has become a global village. So why are people burning 5 G towers even in developed countries, how much less developing ones?
People complain when their bus is minutes late, when their virtual meeting or video download buffers etc, Yet cannot seem to understand the push for 5G. Well bad news for you, some are already talking 6G. Guess who has turned 6G on? telecoms.com/503142/consens…
Could it be that the name is the problem? “5G”, stands for “fifth generation of mobile telecommunications technology,”.
1G (analog cellular)
2G (digital cellular)
3G (data-driven comms)
4G (Long term evolution LTE)
