In full view of police, Hindu nationalist mob attacks a mosque in Madhya Pradesh.
One of the saddest parts of this is seeing so many young men, caught up in mass hysteria, think that they're doing something productive by screaming religious slogans while attacking another community's religious site.
Wouldn't they rather be working and making money? Going out to eat with their girlfriends? Watching Netflix at home? Anything other than mobbing around with a bunch of other guys who are all working themselves into a frenzy?
Instead, they've been brainwashed into the delusion that the most enjoyable and productive thing they can spend their day doing is screaming and hitting buildings.
As rightly said, these kids are just pawns in a game. Should they be held accountable for their actions? Absolutely. But they're not the real instigators. Seriously, how many of them are even out of their teens? They are children manipulated by dark forces of hatred.

"Around 200 people chanted Hanuman Chalisa and ''Jai Shri Ram' slogans outside the mosque when prayers were being offered inside, officials said. This led to a heated exchange between Hindus and Muslims, and led to stone pelting, the police said."

"Some members from the rally hoisted saffron flags and climbed the mosque and tried to damage the minaret, witnesses said. Some videos also showed the Hindutva group members trying to damage nearby houses and vehicles."
"In the last four days, villages in Madhya Pradesh have been witness to incidents of communal violence, all of which broke out during fund collection rallies for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya."

"The Kulkarni controversy, which brought the 'Modi Democrat' phenomenon into the spotlight, was spurred by the contributions of one of the largest donors to his campaign: the Bhutada family."

dissentmagazine.org/online_article…
"Still, Kulkarni was hardly the first Democratic politician with Hindu nationalist ties. Hawaiian Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, while not of Indian descent, is a practicing Hindu, and she leveraged that identity to make extraordinary inroads within the global network of Hindutva."
"With Gabbard’s decision to retire from Congress after this year, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi of Illinois will likely claim the mantle of the top Democratic ally to Hindu nationalists."

France was very impressed by the dynamism of Yogi Adityanath regime’s rabid Islamophobia? Is @FranceinIndia striking a deal to export “Love Jihad” laws to Paris?
“Adityanath has been one of Uttar Pradesh’s most polarizing politicians, given to hateful rhetoric that incites discrimination and hostility against minority groups, particularly Muslims,” said Aakar Patel, Executive Director, @AIIndia.

amnesty.org.in/news-update/ut…
“Adityanath has called for India to become a Hindu state. He has also made polarizing statements claiming ‘love jihad’ – an alleged conspiracy by Muslim men to seduce Hindu women and convert them to Islam.“

Questions journalists could and probably should ask Sri Preston Kulkarni about the #RSS scandal:
Do you know what the specific allegations are? Can you name them?
What is the RSS? If you don't know, why don't you know?

Sri Preston Kulkarni is actually the nephew of the late Pramod Mahajan, a top RSS-BJP leader who organized the "Ram Rath Yatra" in 1990s that left hundreds of Muslims dead. His cousin is Pramod's daughter, current BJP MP @poonam_mahajan.
Why not give Kulkarni "a break"?

1) He's running for Congress. He wants political power. When do you ever give people seeking political power "a break"? Isn't the duty of journalists to hold the powerful accountable and ask deeply uncomfortable questions?
2) He's a seasoned diplomat whose next posting, until he resigned, was going to be in New Delhi. Combined with his family ties to high-level BJP politicians, there is no rational explanation for his supposed ignorance of the political significance of the RSS.
