where i live, the military has a very serious saying that translates to "resting is preparedness too"
may sound moribund to rest, or to goof off to unload stress while your buddies get shot at - but that's how it works. people need it to manage the heightened stresses.

just like in military, doctors, nurses, admins, etc, are specialized - and the departments they work for are specialized too. you can't shift them around on a dime.

and thus we arrive at this seemingly contradictory situation:
the ICU is overloaded (with Coof & other), thus *forcing* other departments to run under capacity, leaving specialized workers (that can't help the ICU) idle.

what are the idle workers that can't help in the ICU to do - sit still and stress out more? wouldn't help anybody.

they dance to *unload* stress, not to show off.
recommendation:
you can fix it the bad optics: stop retweeting, upvoting those videos. simple as.

the *higher-ups* made various screw-ups with managing the capacity and "flattening the curve". hold *them* responsible; don't let them hide behind dancing nurses.
some nurses cheered for the BLMantifa riots. hold those responsible too.
