The lack of empathy is astounding.

Michelle Rempel reveals she made the decision to stay in Canada because she might get caught, not because she believes it to be the correct and ethical thing to do.

Listing a number of reasons she feels so traumatized by the restrictions of COVID is priceless political theatre. Everyone is in the same boat. None of us can visit with family.

But Ms Rempel feels entitled and denied that privilege because of CBC reporters.

Screw the plebs who are in the same situation. She’s Michelle Rempel. A politician. She sacrifices so much already. And deserves special treatment. But CBC is the vulture waiting for her to cash in on special privileges.

My mother-in-law died alone in June. My husband hadn’t seen his mother since March. We had a very subdued funeral which none of her friends could attend. This was the first Christmas without her. A painful experience for my husband and children.

I haven’t seen family or friends in person since March. I’ve barely left my residence since March.

Millions of people across the globe are in the same situation. But Michelle is special. She deserves to travel and visit family. Unlike the vast unwashed nobodies.

Disgust is an emotion triggered by wanton displays of entitlement. I’m feeling pretty disgusted right now.

The audacity to ask for sympathy because you might get caught travelling to visit family when there is a long standing closed border between Canada and US is repugnant.

What’s more repulsive is the fact Ms Rempel knows the optics are unsavoury. She even states the primary reason is because as an elected official the expectations of her behaviour are higher than most other citizens.

But nevertheless, she still feels entitled.

And for that, we should hate the CBC journalists who made a mockery of conservative politicians who obviously believe their privileges are being eroded and seriously questioned. How dare they!?!

Haughty arrogance is disturbing to witness.

But Michelle is NOT the only conservative so terribly vexed and wounded by the COVID restrictions attempting to vilify those who merely report what others choose to do.

Poor Michelle. Poor conservative politicians.🎻

If you hadn’t been so hell bent on infecting the rest of us, and so callous to continue to ignore public health practices to contain COVID transmission, we might be celebrating Christmas with family and able to spend precious moments with our friends and relatives.

Conservatives deserve the vilification they are receiving. Public sentiment is hovering around disgust and rage.

Politicians are not people who deserve privilege. Only autocratic leaders ignore the rules set for everyone else.

I’m sure Imelda Marcos was devastated to lose her shoe collection.

Michelle needs some empathy for the people who have lost loved ones and those who have become sick and will suffer life long illness & side effects because cons have made public health orders almost futile.

You disgust me with your sense of entitlement. Your behaviour is a repugnant attempt to elicit sympathy for the restriction on what you deem as special privilege.

Resign and you can travel to Oklahoma permanently. I guarantee no one will miss your hubris and arrogance.

The Canadian public has been hit over the head numerous times with information that reveals the true character of self-righteous cons.
