The Uniswap Market was introduced as the first alternative liquidity market on the Aave Protocol, where @UniswapProtocol LP tokens could be used as collateral. Talk about DeFi composability!
Aave Ltd. received an Electronic Money Authorization from the UK FCA, so the Aave Genesis Team can create electronic money accounts and facilitate currency conversions. This service will trial in the UK and eventually expand to all Aave users, making #DeFi onboarding ever easier.
The first ever governance vote resulted in the token migration from LEND β‘οΈ$AAVE, the new governance token for the Aave Protocol, enabling $AAVE staking!
A momentous day for the protocol was the handover of the Admin keys to the governance. The Aave community now has the power to decide on the future of the protocol!
V2 of the Aave Protocol arrived on mainnet at the beginning of December, bringing new innovations like Yield & Collateral swap, Flash Liquidations, Batch Flash Loans, and more π₯
V2 governance followed shortly after, taking protocol governance to a new level by implementing segregation between proposing and voting power, upgrading voting strategies, and introducing multiple executors and a guardian for more security π
Today Aave v1 & v2 are more than $2B in combined market size πThe protocol would not be where it is today without this amazing community of Aavengers, and there is a lot to look forward to in 2021 β₯οΈ
Aavengers all over the world cheers to the New Year π₯³ππΎπ₯
