Beyond pious platitudes, Labour has about a year to come up with a plan on:
1. a genuine Constitutional reform including a new voting system to reverse the Executive power grab. This requires working closely with the other opposition parties & associating them to the plan

2. a clear set of domestic policies on people's priorities: education, housing, protecting jobs, the environment, helping science, lucid tax & funding plans with the truth being told about the situation we are in. A massive task

3. a clear strategic vision of Britain's place in the world to build a country at ease with itself but lucid about its true place
4. a plan on building upon the PTA drawn in pragmatic rather than ideological terms but with a clear set of deliverables.

5. a strategic plan to form a genuinely stable alliance with other opposition parties & beat the Tories. Labour cannot achieve this alone. Too many factors against it.
Daunting task which requires wide ranging consultation with experts & others outside the party's comfort zone.

All the above must offer a compelling all encompassing positive narrative. This will require UNITY. Internal squabbling must cease. Those not prepared to follow the line of the leadership must go. There is no time to waste. Johnson controls the timing of the next GE.

None of this require kowtowing to Leave voters with pious language & meek acceptance of the harm done by Brexit. If the plan is good, they will be persuaded. It does require counteracting the flow of Tory lies which will no doubt continue with hard facts. This is not the end.
