The whole strategy is based on successes in low population density island jurisdictions. There is no data from comparable jurisdictions that have attempted hard lockdowns/near 100% masking such as the UK, California, NY (spoiler, lockdown didn't work)
This steaming pile of manure is consistent with all the rest of their speculative fearmongering modelling that gets dumb politicians to wringing their hands "gosh, can't let that happen".
This is exactly what would happen in "mainland" southern Canada if we adopted any kind of "harder" approach. We would lock down for the rest of winter, seasonality would kick in in May/June, they would claim victory and then new spikes again in the fall. This virus is endemic.
They are proposing a "Melbourne" (military grade) lockdown with supports for those affected (most small businesses would be finished off) which would likely last through the remainder of the winter. This is consistent with the #GreatReset blueprint. Economic calamity will follow.
They try to make a distinction between their Canadian Shield approach and the Melbourne model, but they are essentially the same. All they need to do is keep the PCR test CT threshold high, force lots of testing, and they can keep the hard lockdown going for as long as they want.
The carrot at the end of the stick (they say) is full economic reopening after their hard lockdown. Sounds great right?
We need to ask ourselves: Given that CAN all-cause mortality was normal in 2020 v. 2019, given the known flaws with PCR testing as a metric, hospitalizations have been manageable, given the low (and trending lower) IFR of the virus, why would we entertain doing any of this?
There has only ever been one best strategy v. C19 and that is focused protection (essentially pre-2020 virus mitigation). The Covid Zeros need to be shown the door once and for all @fordnation. gbdeclaration.org

1/ The father of the universal mask mandate @jeremyphoward. Why did this AI scientist from San Fran go all in with his #masks4all movement for a couple of months last summer and then walk away?
2/With no expertise in a related field, armed with a pile of untested theories and a website full of junk data/science, his movement was granted an MSM soapbox and managed to unleash cascading mask mandates all over the western world over a 2 month period masks4all.co
3/The messaging was: 80% of ppl wearing masks would reduce cases by 1/12 (basically eradicating C19!) Failure to do so could make you responsible for killing someone! Masks would prevent lockdowns. No need to concern yourselves about the old mask science
