✍ | Real Madrid has pulled off a masterpiece with David Alaba.

€40M spent across 4 years on a Champions League player who is physically & technically excellent at just 28 years of age — arguably his peak in both ends.

📊 | David Alaba minutes over the last 3 seasons:

2020/2021 — 1002 ⏱
2019/2020 — 2498 ⏱
2018/2019 — 2530 ⏱

Real Madrid is signing an experienced footballer for free who has just entered the peak years & his game is taking a leap.
✍ | Alaba current market-value is €65M — only Kimmich (€90M) & Gnabry (€90M) hold higher value in Bayern Münich.

Only Courtois €70M, Varane €70M & Valverde €70M have higher value from Real Madrid. (@TMuk_news).
✍ | David Alaba has played in numerous positions throughout his career, most notably left-back but he's shown excellent level as centre-back for Bayern Mûnich.

Alaba also had shown capabilities of playing as central-midfielder or even number #10 with National Team.
✍ | Real Madrid most likely is signing David Alaba as a player to fill the holes on defensive rotations.

Varane has played almost every possible minute this season, and Zidane hasn't shown enough faith on Eder Militão — Alaba makes the rotations significantly easier.
✍ | David Alaba signing could mean that Real Madrid allows both Eder Militão & Marcelo to leave throughout the summer — as Alaba can fill in for left-back and centre-back and same goes for Nacho.

That also means we keep in mind that there's talent coming through Castilla.
✍ | Alaba to Real Madrid could be the best signing of summer considering everything.

Real Madrid could switch their squad and make more money to buy players for other necessary options as Alaba fixes the defensive problems for time being.

✍ | Financial state:

Real Madrid approved a deficit of 68 millions for 2020/2021, this measure represents around €42M of savings and there are €26M left for the club not to record any losses – per @jfelixdiaz article breaking down the situation.
✍ | Mbappé & Haaland:

• Both of them are currently out of reach for Real Madrid, and per explanation they'd cost way more than Madrid can afford — even if club were to accept losses for a year including everything (wages, fee, bonuses, etc). Not possible.

✍ | Something personal about 2020:

I just like most have had the roughest year of my life, from physical struggles to the mental toll the situation created took – having to deal with a lot of things going on.
I've had cancer scare throughout the year, had multiple tests done on me to find out what my physical problems were – thankfully didn't turn out that way & one of main reasons of my struggles were lack of exercise & physical work — Don't NEGLECT your body.
From that, I had to see a therapist due to all the stress caused from Covid and everything going on in between, health and financial related issues — but I am lucky enough to have supportive people around me.
