Chitradurga Fort - One that remains etched in history for the heroic tale of the wife of a common soldier in the army of the local ruler Madakari Nayaka - Onake Obavva.
The valiant woman who single-handedly killed many soldiers of Hyder Ali with just a big pestle as they were trying to crawl out of a secret passage. Her husband was eating his lunch while she was on a killing spree.
She did not call him out because she believed that disturbing him while he was having food was not right. She was ultimately killed before she could get through the entire contingent,
but her efforts ensured that the fort was defended that day and Hyder Ali was defeated by an ordinary soldier's wife who wanted her husband to have lunch in peace. This is one of the heroic tales of Indic resilience from Karnataka.

Wishing you all a happy new year 2021.

Yes, its Gregorian New Year, not exactly connected with Indian civilization. But, like the Common Era (CE) in history which is only notionally connected to Christianity, the Gregorian Calendar is also not exactly a Christian invention,
but continuation of the ancient Pagan culture with some modifications. This very term "Christian West" which many in India still continue to use has thoroughly lost its significance, as Christianity has crumbled in the West, largely.
Anyway, there is the Pagan tradition of celebrating Winter Solstice around December 21 and the next 10 days, and the Hindu historian friend Jijith calls 31st December as "Indra Divas". He has detailed posts on this in his timeline.

Here we all go wrong :

These 2 myths about paan is totally wrong.

First : Paan is mentioned in our culture from centuries , Paan should never have these tobaccos options, tobaccos paan was alteration after India was attacked by various foreigner
Portuguese[Introduced tobacco] , British[introduced cigarette filled with tobacco], before that Paan was only eaten as mouth freshener and digestive option.

Understanding Dravidian (Un)Tamil culture.

For the Nation to understand what Hindus in TN are fighting against.

A Tamil identity and Tamil culture is entirely different from and even diametrically opposite from Indian culture and Indian Identity.
There is a movement in TN, that emphasis that Tamils have a seperate type of Spirituality, Seperate type of world view, A different way of life, which is totally different from Hindu way of life, in fact these groups argue that there is no such thing as Hindu way of life,
as The term Hindu in it self is a colonial baggage,

This particular movement is getting traction with some significant number of youths, but majority do not subscribe to this view.

This has to be exposed for what they are, UTTER COMPLETE FALSEHOODS,
