A 16-year-old Somali boy #died yesterday of TB and starvation in the desperate area of Gergarish in #Tripoli & his 14-year-old friend in this video is still there in the derelict building,unable to stand or walk from how #sick,starving & weak he is.Other refugees who found them..
..called @UNHCRLibya, @IOM_Libya,MSF & IRC but say that they were told by most agencies that ‘it’s not their responsibility’ to help the sick boy still alive,that it would be #UNHCR responsibility as they were both registered as asylum seekers,but nothing has happened so far.. 
..hours later IRC came with some officers to remove the dead body,but refused to take care of the sick boy and take him to hospital.The 14-year-old sick Somali boy doesnt have money for food,taxi fares to the hospital,medication or hospital treatment fees.He needs urgent help..
..the other refugees who found this sick Somali boy & his dead friend yesterday will contact all #UN agencies again today to beg them to help him as he cannot even stand.This is the hell refugees suffer in #Libya also due to #Europe’s #criminal policies #EvacuateRefugeesFromLibya
MSF were not actually informed about the sick boy, they only knew about the dead body and contacted IRC to help, and are now already activating to try to assist the sick boy.A refugee took the boy to UNHCR this morning but it is not known as yet whether/how they will help him
Today a very generous Libyan paid 1-month rent for a small flat for the sick Somali boy,the old refugee without a leg & a woman.The boy went to hospital yesterday but was discharged after a drip.UNHCR didn’t show up & didnt give any cash assistance for food & medication until now
