I clearly & categorically condem the violence that we witnessed in the Capitol building in Washington yesterday during the meeting of the Electors. I believe that the election was rigged& Trump was robbed but violence in any shape or form has no place in a democratic setting.1/
..All matters concerning the American Presidency ought to be resolved in a peaceful manner & I am glad that President Donald Trump had the presence of mind to tell the protesters to disperse and go home. As much as I love @realDonaldTrump and believe that he was cheated out..2/
..of the election I will not support any action from his supporters that would disturb the peace, jeopardise life & property or lead to a civil war in America. Those of us that love & believe in him fought a good fight & stood firm, regardless of the odds& the insults, right..3/
..to the end. It is time to accept the reality of a Biden presidency and move on. We must not let this matter divide and destroy America and indeed the world any further. This is the time to build bridges and come together. This is the time to emulate great men like..4/
...Nigeria's @GEJonathan, let things go & maintain the peace for the sake of all. In 2015 he was robbed & rigged out of the election too but he refused to urge his supporters to indulge in violence, he conceeded his right to fight till the end & he put the peace, safety and..5/
..security of the Nigerian people first. This was commendable. Trump has gone as far as he can go in terms of seeking redress & I commend him for that. Other than encouraging violence & anarchy there is little more he can do. Like a good war commander & insightful leader he..6/
..must accept the situation, no matter how unpalatable, retreat & leave the battle field with the remnants of his army intact so that they are not utterly decimated and they can live to fight another day. I have no doubt that after a few years, just as it was with Jonathan,..7/
..Trump will be vindicated but he will lose that opportunity if he refuses to accept the final decision of Congress and the Electors and conceed the election. I pray he makes that choice and brings this increasingly ugly and dangerous situation to closure. I commend every...8/
..Trumper in Nigeria for keeping the faith and standing firm till the end but now is the time to sheath our swords and accept the facts and the situation. President-elect @JoeBiden will be sworn in as President on January 20th, Vice President-elect @KamalaHarris will be..9/
..effectively running the country into the foreseeable future and America and the world will have to live with the consequences of that.

It is after midnight Nigerian time & we have just slipped into the 6th day of Jan. 2021. Today is the "D-day" for America & the rest of the world& whatever happens later today will shape the collective fortunes of not just America but also humanity into the foreseeable future.1/
..It is the day in which the destiny of America and the entire world will be determined. It is the day every Trumper has been waiting for for the last few weeks and ever since the sham and 'big steal' of the November 3rd presidential election when Joe Biden was rigged in by...2/
..the Deep state, the proponents of the New World Order, Big Tech, the Fake News Media and the agents of the Illuminati. It is the day when the American Congress and Senate meet jointly with the 'Electors' of each state for a certification of the presidential election. 3/

Glad that Buhari's friend @JustinWelby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, found the decency &courage to express outrage about the #LekkitollgateMassacre. For the last 5 years thousands of innocent civilians were slaughtered under his friend's watch &he said NOTHING so what changed?1/4
..Why did he refuse speak out when others were being slaughtered? Why did he turn a blind eye to the atrocities & barbaric crimes that were being committed? Clearly he is part of the problem? When you encourage & support a tyrant it means that you are an accomplice to tyranny.2/5
..By his constant fawning &grovelling before Buhari & his unyielding love, friendship & support for him,was he not complicit in the ethnic cleansing, genocide & crimes against humanity that the President & his supporters unleashed on the Nigerian people over the last 5 years?3/5

To all those insulting the grief of the bereaved and traumatized by claiming nobody died at the Lekki tollgate massacre, this is video evidence.

I should add that reports suggest that the bodies were collected by the soldiers and disposed of after the massacre. 1/3

...#DjSwitch should be commended for her extraordinary courage and not questioned, vilified or condemned. Had it not been for her efforts this great evil that was unleashed on our children & perpetuated by Government forces and rogue soldiers would have been covered up &...2/3
...brushed under the carpet like so many other barbaric acts of state-sponsored genocide, ethnic cleansing & mass murder that have been covered up in the past. No matter how hard they try to make this go away they will fail! They will never get away with it or escape justice.

I have chosen to take the high horse and I refuse to allow my estranged wife to turn the affairs of my personal life into a public circus. If she has any issues let her use the right medium as a responsible adult and mother and stop secretly feeding the media with damaging..1/8

Happy 60th birthday Nigeria. Many ups and downs but we are still together. Many shattered dreams but we are still one. Many broken hearts but we are still standing. Many wounded souls but our heart is still beating. Many blighted spirits but our resolve remains strong..1/3 Image
..Many broken limbs but our body remains intact. Many dashed hopes but we still tread the path. Many great betrayals but we still savour the vision.

May God direct & chart our course, may He heal our land, may He soothe our pain & may He take away the hurt of our people..2/3 Image
..May He make our nation what He wants her to be & may He give us leaders that will take us to the promise land. May He cause our light to shine brightly & may He cause our joy to be full. May He exalt our horn, enlarge our coast & defend our borders...3/4 Image

As part of my tour of the Southern states I have spent the last 4 days in Ado Ekiti with my friend & brother Governor Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti state and Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum. We have been discussing crucial national issues and matters concerning..1/5 ImageImage

..We have also had plenty of well-earned rest & a wonderful time. Fayemi has been my friend & brother for over 30 years & he is the quintessential gentleman. Apart from the fact that he is a formidable intellectual, he is also cool, calm, extremely discerning & insightful..3/5
