@thecableng @HQNigerianArmy A. What is the difference between blank rounds of bullet and live rounds?

The 2 on the left are what’s called blank rounds and the one on the right is a live round. The other 2 from the right are spent shell casings.

Blank rounds do not have a projectile or a bullet.

@thecableng @HQNigerianArmy B. In place of a bullet is a crimped or sealed extension that prevents gunpowder from leaking.

Blanks are mainly used to simulate the firing of a weapon with all the sound and cycling of the action without a deadly projectile coming out of the weapon’s barrel.
@thecableng @HQNigerianArmy C. Useful in training and ceremonial functions i.e. 21 gun salutes.

Blanks also have a lower power factor (less gunpowder) compared to live rounds & can only be fired semi-automatic or single shot.

That’s why you see soldiers in a military burial ceremony pull the..

It is important to have clarity on the issue of #EndSARS, because so many people are muddling up so many different issues:
1. The #EndsSARS protest was concerned with better policing, better governance & a better country. Thread...
2. The #EndSARS protests were peaceful. Perhaps the most peaceful was the one at the Lekki Tollgate. The military action against the Lekki Tollgate protesters, even before the commencement of the curfew, was, therefore, unnecessary and uncalled for.
3. The jail breaks, arson, looting and mayhem around the country before and after the Lekki Tollgate military intervention were not carried out by the peaceful #EndSARS protesters that were demanding for better policing, better governance and a better country.

To all those insulting the grief of the bereaved and traumatized by claiming nobody died at the Lekki tollgate massacre, this is video evidence.

I should add that reports suggest that the bodies were collected by the soldiers and disposed of after the massacre. 1/3

...#DjSwitch should be commended for her extraordinary courage and not questioned, vilified or condemned. Had it not been for her efforts this great evil that was unleashed on our children & perpetuated by Government forces and rogue soldiers would have been covered up &...2/3
...brushed under the carpet like so many other barbaric acts of state-sponsored genocide, ethnic cleansing & mass murder that have been covered up in the past. No matter how hard they try to make this go away they will fail! They will never get away with it or escape justice.

Tell you a story.

My friend, sisi Remi, late, was 11 years older and often exasperating wise.

Once, after a brutal protest clampdown, l shouted myself hoarse about the evil doers, the back bitters and the sell outs. I lamented that nothing had and can change....
She laughed and said but Funmi, it’s your ego talking nah. I’m like did this aunty just insult me? Seeing like my eye was turning red a bit, she continued . What you are trying to do is move matter, that takes time and many elements. Look at that rock Funmi, do you know how ...
long it’ll take for drops of water to break through it or for its form to change. An external force could generate supreme energy to shatter it but then it’s no longer a rock abi? Do you think it’s only the water that‘ll make a difference? What about the role of air sun, wind..

Another week, another #IPThursday good people! We’ve all heard of the “Cola Wars” and this week I’ll be going through this war but with a twist (literally). Its Coke v Pepsi in TWIST trade mark case.
Our story begins sometime during the Battle of Columbus around 1865. US military member John Pemberton sustained a battle wound which left him in a fair bit of pain.
To ease the pain, he started using morphine, which he quickly became addicted to. In fact he became so addicted to the stuff he decided to look for alternatives that were “morphine free”.

The government of Nigeria has declared war on its own citizens. The African Union and ECOWAS must call on President Buhari to stop the killing immediately.
Nigerian siblings, I'm grieving and raging with you today. They will not silence you with bullets. So much love✊🏾💚
This is a deeply disappointing response from ECOWAS, that reads as if it was drafted by the Buhari administration. ECOWAS blames peaceful, unarmed protestors for the bullets that Nigerian military are firing at them. #EndSARS

Was just thinking about the #EndsSARS #EndSWAT #EndPoliceBrutality #EndBadGovernmentinNIGERIA and a question seem to be coming up in my mind.

If the #SARSMustGo guys are now retrenched, what would be their lot in relation to living...In the bid of
In the bid of solving a problem we create another. Come to think of it most of the officers in #SARS have being living large on stolen my vicinity they go about with their own PoS to extort their victims no need to follow you reach ATM
They have upgraded heavily...Now a lot of them live on over #500k a month...and we all know with this kind of lifestyle and affluence cum their qualification and all, there is virtually no job they can do to keep up with this level of lifestyle (income).

Why Davids Win Goliath!

If a sling & 5 stones were all you had, against a giant, backed by an army with monopoly of violence, what’d you do?

Most people run! Not Davids; they don’t back down. That’s the way I see the Nigerian youth right now. They won’t backing down! #EndSWAT
I wish our leaders would quickly realize that the Nigeria police especially is up against a force that is more united than they realize. The earlier they do, and agree to these seemingly reasonable demands made so far, the quicker things could come under control. #EndSWAT
Over the last few days, I’ve taken time to follow/engage countless of the young people who are fighting for their rights to live, by with #EndsSARS, which immediately became #EndSWAT as soon as SARs was rebranded SWAT, and one thing is clear, there’s no fear in them at all.

Thread! @PoliceNG Officer Speaks on #EndSars #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria

So a Compatriot who is serving in the Nigerian Police got in touch with me. The officer requested that the publication of the flowing, this was after a 30 minutes plus conversation on @telegram app. 👇🏿🇳🇬
For safety I will keep the name of the @PoliceNG officer out out. Hoping @NGRPresident and the Police can take note and verify independently.
1. The extortion of members of the public including #SARS is not with the @PoliceNG personnel on the road, it is institutional.
2. He claims @PoliceNG Commissioner's embezzles security vote meant for the upkeep of operational officers. Police divisions are meant to get welfare funds but it never trickles down to low ranking officers who now buy their own uniform, fuel car from funds extorted from public
