THREAD: I've gotten a few questions about some specific participants in January 6, so I hope to answer them here.

Stop the Steal co-founder Ali Alexander and Infowars' Alex Jones & Owen Shroyer were toward the front of the march to the Capitol, but I didn't see them after that.

"We're coming, swamp creatures!" yelled Alex Jones. This was mins after the Trump speech concluded, as the group walked Penn Ave.

"We're coming for all you commie traitors in congress that stabbed us in the back!" said Shroyer.

Jones called for "non-violent civil disobedience."

President Trump had actually claimed he'd be joining the march to the Capitol down Penn Ave.

As a couple black SUV's went by, the crowd actually mistakenly believed it was the president.

I fell a little bit back from the front as the group approached the crowd.

"Fuck antifa!" many chanted as a call and response.

"The only good commie is a dead fucking commie!" one yelled.

Upon actually arriving on the Capitol grounds, I saw Trump supporters swarming a statue behind an "area closed" sign. As I moved forward, you can see the barricades that had already been breached by the first wave.

Following that was the action I thoroughly detailed on 1/6.

To answer a primary question I've gotten: Alex Jones, Owen Shroyer, and Ali Alexander all participated in the march to the Capitol, but I don't believe I saw them on the Capitol grounds itself.

Activists with @RefuseFascism / @RefuseFascismDC held a press conference to condemn Wednesday's MAGA insurgency this afternoon at Black Lives Matter Plaza in DC.

PHOTO THREAD: Police failed to keep Trump supporters back as they stormed the initial perimeter around the Capitol.

In spite of mace and flash grenades, protesters managed to push through and climb the wall west of the building.

Trump supporters climbed the East Capitol steps where they were confronted by police, but managed to take an officer's riot shield and push through into the building.

An injured Trump supporter is taken out from the Capitol in a stretcher.

I'm home, and will post my footage of the #CapitolHill riot chronologically as I go through it.

These are some of the scenes I first saw arriving at the Capitol, just as they breached the perimeter.

Fighting largely focused on the first set of steps.

One person fell off the steps (which I didn't manage to capture on video).

Trump supporters accused officers of pushing him off. He was taken away in a stretcher. His condition is unclear to me.

It was shortly after that that Trump supporters began pushing harder, to the point that police retreated up the steps.

In my opinion, this was basically the critical moment that caused everything else tonight to happen.

Police threw some tear gas back as they retreated.

For the last half hour or so I was filming people go in and out of Capitol on entrance by front steps. Police macing people inside.

South entrance to Capitol right now. Police have resorted to shooting fire extinguishers at crowd.

4K video: Proud Boys chairman Enrique Tarrio answers some questions after being released from jail.

He is banned from Washington DC other than for his legal matters before the court.

He says he was arrested at gunpoint last night.

"We're gonna keep fighting," he says.

Enrique Tarrio was picked up by a friend and said his first priority is to get a "hamburger" but that he doesn't know how he'll be getting the city tonight.

Earlier today, pro-@wikileaks activists who had been protesting against the prosecution of #JulianAssange held a party outside the Department of Justice including cake and balloons to celebrate a British court's decision not to extradite.

The United States is expected to appeal.

During the party, a DOJ cop came over to ask about the demonstration, but there were no issues and the group had a permit.

The organizers attempted to get the cops to eat some of the cake, but they didn't bite (literally.)
