Most common misperceptions when it comes to email marketing 🤯
• I need a big list to make money
• It takes too much time to write an email
• I can't come up with content to write about
Expanding on them below 👇
🔑 1. All things being equal, a bigger list is obviously better than a small list
But a lot of people own big lists and make absolutely no use of them
An active small list > Inactive big list
500-1,000 subs are enough to make a good side income
🕒 2. There are dozens of way to come up with good emails ideas without wasting a lot of time
I often write my emails in 15-30minutes (sometimes less)
With practice and pre-defined ideas you can easily write one in 10minutes
💡 3. Here are some ideas you can use to write emails:
1) Write about a story (search online) 2) Write about something that happened to you 3) Expand your POV on a tweet you've made 4) Take questions from your followers and answer them in your email 5) Write about a hot topic
📜In re-cap...
> You don't need a big list, what you need is to pump more offers by sending more value-packed emails (entertaining + valuable)
> Most of your emails can be nailed in 15 minutes
> Don't try to come up with something brand new, use content that's already created
I wrote a guide to help you...
> Monetize, even with a small list (student did 2 sales with a 60 email list)
> Write attention-grabbing emails that sell without being pushy
> Come up with good ideas to write emails
A bird's eye view of how we're going to make it work
1. Choose an email platform 2. Design a landing page 3. Upsell an offer on the thank-you page 4. Create a welcome sequence framed as an "email guide" 5. Deliver value on that guide 6. Upsell the same offer
1. Email platform
I would go with Mailerlite since you're allowed to create free automation, other good tool would be Aweber
(Tools as ConvertKit and getResponse don't have automation as a feature in their free plans)
Go around and learn the platform, shouldn't take too long
