1/6/21 will end up being the most prosecuted mob in human history. Maybe the single largest criminal event in history in terms of convictions too.
The federal government might be great at a lot of stuff like wars and budget management but criminal prosecutions, especially of terrorists, they are good at. Not gonna be like Florida where friendly juries and tepid prosecutors let such criminals get away.
Remember, the most violent well connected drug lords are afraid of one thing the most - getting arrested by the US federal government. Cos that's usually a one way ticket. The federal govt doesn't arrest as indiscriminately as state cops. But when it does, few guilty escape.
That's because the federal government rarely arrests innocents, at least domestically. That's why so many federal cases get pleaded out or end up with cooperating witnesses. Here, there isn't even a question of guilt. These terrorists did it on camera, most maskless in a pandemic
And in a delicious twist of irony, a Trump executive order nails them to 10 years for defacing federal monuments (with an eye on BLM). And you know which monument is the most monumental of them all?
This executive order was written targeting BLM and Antifa but see where it will be most applied 😁😁

This tweet of mine was about a stunt in the plane the night before the attacks, which was clearly terrorists announcing their disregard for law. The kind of person who pulls this stunt is the one who would vandalize the Capitol. Wonder if they got away.

I doubt more than a few committed terrorists stormed the Capitol prepared to go to federal prison. The arrest videos seem to indicate an astoundingly privileged level of belief that they were doing nothing wrong and would just walk away heroes. Maybe pay a small fine.
Ugh, this was supposed to be "might not be great"

Winter vegetable dishes is one aspect of Indian food that has not been exported at all. AT ALL! Indian restaurants rarely have seasonal specials in the US. Even festival specials like onam are just a more elaborate buffet.
At least in marathi food conversations, winter specific vegetable dishes has been a genre of its own forever. You will find many recipes online for Bhogichi bhaaji etc. Last Jan in Pune, I got to see the full scale of winter crops at the local mandi. Fun coming them too.

One thing Americans understand in their bones is the First Amendment. Especially politicians. They know Trump's social media bans aren't an FA issue. It's a deliberate distraction they're putting out there so we diligently correct them instead of staying focused on the rebellion.
"Fact-check Bait" is a pretty standard right wing tactic for a while now. You put out a statement that can be easily debunked and/or ridiculed or proven as hypocritical. They don't care. They don't want to win that debate. They just want to distract you from something worse.
So we are like lol you think Einstein invented gravity? And we take our eyes off the ball.

I love how Kartikeya builds his case brick by brick like an attorney into analytics. You think of an objection and the next paragraph addresses it.
These are two of the best teams and especially bowling attacks in the history of test cricket. Another full series after just 2 yrs (which is HUGE for strategy making). And a majority of players delivering on their ability. One team has to lose. Just enjoy the cricket.

It's insane how intensely almost every session has been fought! How few loose spells and loose shots there have been! And it's because something like 15 out of 22 players are in peak form. And know each other intimately, because of the 2018 series. #INDvAUS

I don't know where #NYC gets its indifferent callous image. This woman was struck by a biker. And instantly, a crowd of masked folks gathered to help out. The biker thankfully stuck around looking very contrite and on the verge of tears. All in all, a silver lining type thing. ImageImage
That dude with the backpack and khakis is the one who hit her. I thought he showed good judgment in being around but not crowding her with "omg so sorry". Having been in such accidents, I can tell you it's not a good idea to face the culprit right away.
Today I walked about 2 miles away from my apartment. Farthest I've ventured on foot in Manhattan in months. This is Madison Square on a Saturday morning. Not exactly a ghost town, right? Mask wearing near universal. Generally a relaxed mood on the streets. #NYC

America's had a Civil War. America's had a Cold War. The lack of proportional remorse or outrage from Republicans about an outgoing president fomenting an attack on the Capitol suggests something disturbing. We are at the start of a Cold Civil War or Civil Cold War.
They are trying to foment a rebellion. And with the 2nd amendment fever in recent decades, the world has never seen a rebellion attempted by people with so many guns. So. Many. Guns. The potential danger here for a Mad Max type world is very realistic unless Republicans stop him.
Also remember that we are literally losing more people to Covid every single day than 9/11 fatalities. I remember when total US military deaths in Iraq surpassing 9/11 was a media landmark a few years into the war. We are losing that number EVERYDAY to a virus Australia beat.

That Australia aren't further ahead in this game is a credit to this young Indian team's tenacity. That India are still realistically within one or two good sessions of a win is also a credit. That they are currently behind is just cricket. They are the weaker team now. #IndvAus
In Adelaide, India held the edge and one exceptional session turned things around. In Melbourne, India were slightly weaker but the bowlers pulled a rabbit out of the hat. At SCG, India are noticeably weaker. In cricket, more often than not, the stronger team wins. #IndvAus
You can second guess every dismissal and run out. I mean a run out is by definition an unforced error. Happens. It's a match against the strongest team in the world right now. Nothing about today at SCG is worth beating your chests about. That's cricket. That's sport. #INDvAUS
