To those claiming “it’s not worth impeaching Trump again over his attack on the Capitol because:

1.) There isn’t time
2.) He’s leaving office soon anyway
3.) It will further divide the nation

Allow me to enlighten you as to why these arguments are COMPLETE & UTTER BULLSHIT

1.) Yes, there IS time. They rammed ACB onto SCOTUS in under a week. They can remove Trump in 10 days. But this misses the point that impeachment AND conviction of Trump is critical even if it drags out beyond January 20th because it prevents him from ever holding office again.

2.) His term being almost over is meaningless & does not grant him immunity from consequences for terrorism & sedition against the U.S. gov’t that lead to the death of 5 Americans. Clearly, he will stop at NOTHING to stay in power. EVERY SECOND HE REMAINS IN OFFICE ENDANGERS 🇺🇸

3.) TRUMP’s inflammatory mendacious rhetoric and the GOP’s ENABLING of blatant lies about a stolen election are what is dividing the nation; Trump being held accountable for the first time in his life is not further dividing anything. He WILL ONLY DO WORSE UNLESS WE STOP HIM. NOW

To prove that we are a nation of laws and no one is above them, learn from the lessons of history that failed coups which faced little to no consequences have been followed by SUCCESSFUL ones that led to countless atrocities, deaths & World Wars, we MUST IMPEACH & CONVICT Trump

We do not negotiate, much less unify with terrorists, traitors, and criminals. Trump’s only interest in his entire life has been enriching and empowering himself at all costs. Unifying the nation requires holding him and every single person who enabled him accountable IMMEDIATELY

The people who should be more furious with Trump and the Republican Party than anyone are the people who fell for his lies and let themselves be brainwashed into going against everything this nation stands for: justice, equality, democracy, freedom, and liberty from tyranny.

There will always be a small segment who support Trump. But not enough to overthrow our 244 year democracy that many of our ancestors died to protect for so long. A failed reality TV host isn’t bringing about a 2nd Civil War. But not holding him accountable ensures MORE VIOLENCE

Everyone who studies history and fascism says impeachment and conviction is essential. Every mental health expert says Trump’s mental state is an existential threat to America and the world. Every legal expert says Trump has broken innumerable laws and belongs in prison.

Every expert on national security says Trump jeopardizes our sovereignty & safety every moment he avoids accountability & retains power. So we demand his immediate removal from office. We demand the expulsion of his enablers in government who have no business in elected office.

We demand his entire administration, family, and enablers in the media, law enforcement and government be removed and held accountable for their role in promoting propaganda and lies of a dangerous unfit illegitimate demagogue who has done nothing but incalculable harm to America

Trump must face consequences for the irreparable harm he’s caused; especially over the past 4 years. The U.S. has never been subjected to such trauma at the hands of one individual. We were already in this state BEFORE he killed 374,000 of us and tried to overthrow the government

Trump’s actions for the past 4 years, have been increasingly egregious atrocious and criminal; yet he was shielded from accountability because of the office he illegitimately obtained & a political party hellbent on maintaining power by letting him burn America to the ground.

The remedy is clear:
—Trump must convicted, removed, & stripped of all post presidency benefits
—Every GOP member of government at all levels must be expelled, arrested & prosecuted
—Every media outlet that spread his lies and propaganda must be dismantled forever

Hawley, Cruz, and Boebart must be expelled this INSTANT. The remaining members of the @GOP should face immediate censure and removal from all committees; then investigation and expulsion. The entire GOP basically needs to be burned to the ground and the earth salted.

We need federal investigations of AT LEAST 4 things. Trump’s:
1.) Illegitimate attainment of the Presidency
2.) Coverup of the Russia investigation (transcripts of meetings/calls with Putin)
3.) Sabotage of our pandemic response
4.) Terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol last week

I believe that the findings from these investigations will establish beyond any reasonable doubt that Trump’s entire Presidency was unconstitutional; and thus every single thing he did must be immediately UNDONE (Biden is planning on a great deal of this anyway one his first day)

But this would also mean all Trump judges would be revoked, inckuding all 3 Supreme Court seats, allowing Biden to fill all three (Barack Obama on the Supreme Court, anyone?); his tax cuts for the rich gone. Every executive order expunged.

We may never remove the stain of Trump’s presidency, but we can undo A LOT of the damage he caused. We can start by holding him and everyone around him accountable & ridding Congress & state legislatures of seditionists and traitors before they start gerrymandering more maps

While I’ve come to enjoy Twitter and am humbled by the # of people who followed me since I started speaking out, I haven’t been keeping track of Trump’s crimes for because it’s fun or lucrative. I’ve been doing it so he is held accountable. And he will be.

Lastly, want to add something critical to how we got here. It wasn’t just the violent lies & rhetoric of Trump, but those on the right in both the media (Fox News, OANN, InfoWars, etc.) and both former and current GOP officials CALLED FOR THIS REPEATEDLY!

One of the most brilliant people on this platform who has been calling out Trump’s and the GOP’s fascism and criminality for the past 6 years is @sarahkendzior. If you’re not following her, you should. She sums this all up PERFECTLY:
