Met a 70 year old veteran , who is leading a simple healthy and peaceful life.
We happened to meet at a volunteering event.
He has de addicted himself from
- Social media addiction
- Social Drinking & Occasional Smoking
- Non vegetarian Food habit & Junk Food
- Watching TV
- Whats app
- Gossip
He was a man of few words and asked his changes he done to his routine
Answer was simple
" I felt myself in warzone fully detached from my life family and social life no access to any electronics gadgets with access to necessary electric appliance
First freedom he felt was his control over his time and in weeks he felt suddenly 24 hours became abundant for
-Cooking Healthy meal
- For Keeping his house in order
- Exercise
-Timely meals
- Sound sleep
- Spare time to help others
-
Further improvements he had witnessed is
- More thoughtful conversations / relationship with family
- More towards prayer/spiritual activities
-Ability to stay organized
-Able to be of some help to others
- No Anger /Agony
-Improved financial status
- Revived Positivity
He advised the youths to follow this detachment at least hour a week then gradually increase to a day in week
As per Yoga , this person followed is nothing modern-day Savasana to attain the nirvana (Finding Abundance in Nothing)
Feeling detached is gateway to contentment
Success Principle of West : Feeling Superior = Success , More you acquire you are regarded as great
Principle of East : Feeling Detached /Denounced = Success /Holy , More you denounce your desire you are considered great
Greed vs Devoted Detachment , it is detachment = peace
To lead a peaceful and healthy life , you dont need to be rich/superior/successful/intelligent /street smart
All you need is basic tenets of patience and acceptance with a detached and devoted mindset towards your goal
In a stratified society, it is quite natural to
- To rank ourselves [Brilliant /No brainer]
- Feeling classified [Rich/Poor/middle class/upper middleclass ]
-Aspire for luxurious lifestyle
- Enough bank balance & Assets to last for generations
with no limit for enough
As per god design of human anatomy be it rich or poor he has equal and smart to bless with most of vital organs with necessary backup even if one fails [Eyes,Legs, hands Kidneys, Nostrils & Ears]
No difference between rich and poor , it is mindset stigma imprinted by society
if you limit your wants you will get sound sleep
if you get sound sleep your digestion and excretion will be smooth
if these two are proper you will eat only for energy
if you eat helathy , you will feel young and revitalised
Stay detached , Stay healthy ,Stay joyful !!
