Why a WS on PRL? 1) Pure RL and Planning deal with different problems, but both have been looking into each other techniques for their own challenges. /3
2) PRL is another take on "learning vs reasoning/symbolic" AI in a concrete setting where the two main approaches to AI are naturally relevant. #neurosymbolic /4
3) I'd argue RL needs planning for exploration and for exploiting abstractions; Planning needs RL for model acquisition and better performance while solving problems in the same domain. #RL #AI #Planning #ML #Reasoning /5
