If you’ve seen THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER you know why the GOP are turning on Trump now. They are the simple townsfolk who fell for his mesmerizing Preacherman schtick: now that he is obviously A Bad Man they are chasing after him with pitchforks & torches to cover up being fooled
I am half-kidding but also half not-kidding
I think that the ending of NIGHT OF THE HUNTER, Lillian Gish’s final scene with the children, just gets more and more powerful and profound with time
It has occurred to Mitch etc that if they do not cut bait with Trump now that he’s hugely damaged and render him unable to run again via impeachment then he’s going to be their nominee again in 4 years.

Serious question: what was the last movie Bruce Willis was in where he was acting and not just being Bruce Willis getting paid to be in the movie? I feel like it might have been Unbreakable but is there a more recent example?

Several movies made this decade are real movies but don’t seem real. They were released in theatres but no one talked about them. They were released on VOD and streaming services but still no one talked about them. This thread will pay tribute to them
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, a 2017 drama about an Iraq war soldier dealing with PTSD. Starring Miles Teller and Amy Schumer in a supporting role. I never saw a commercial for it. It opened wide & two weeks later, vanished. Did it come out on video? I’ve never seen it for sale
Ah yes the 2013 drama BROKEN CITY with Marky Mark as a PI hired by the Mayor of New York City, Russell Crowe. It cost 35 million and made 34 million. Directed by one of the Hughes brothers. Is it a real movie? Has anyone seen it? Has anyone seen it since 2014?
