Several movies made this decade are real movies but don’t seem real. They were released in theatres but no one talked about them. They were released on VOD and streaming services but still no one talked about them. This thread will pay tribute to them
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, a 2017 drama about an Iraq war soldier dealing with PTSD. Starring Miles Teller and Amy Schumer in a supporting role. I never saw a commercial for it. It opened wide & two weeks later, vanished. Did it come out on video? I’ve never seen it for sale 
Ah yes the 2013 drama BROKEN CITY with Marky Mark as a PI hired by the Mayor of New York City, Russell Crowe. It cost 35 million and made 34 million. Directed by one of the Hughes brothers. Is it a real movie? Has anyone seen it? Has anyone seen it since 2014?
Another film that barely seems real is 2013’s DEAD MAN DOWN, a bizarre thriller produced by World Wrestling Entertainment’s film division, with an overqualified cast: Isabelle Huppert! Colin Farrell! Noomi Rapace! Dominic Cooper! the walking trainwreck Terrence Howard!

Is this a real movie? Directed by Jodie Foster. Clooney. Roberts. Jack O’Connell (not sure who he is). Gunman who lost all his money takes over a tv studio. I suppose it’s supposed to be a modern DOG DAY AFTERNOON / NETWORK but more people watched it on an airplane than a theatre
How is this movie real? A glum, hectoring reactionary screed blaming all of society’s ills on the internet. Overqualified cast: Sandler, Chalamet, Ansel Elgort, Emma Thompson narration. Made to win Oscars, bombed hard, thrown down memory hole, no one has watched this since 2015
