This thread is dedicated solely to Berlinda Nibo, the victim of the ‘Stop the Steal’ assault
In my previous thread I had mistakenly said it was from the Capitol Riots bc it happened on the same day; but I did correct it in another tweet
Here is the video:
Nibo was on her way to a late breakfast with a friend in downtown LA. when they stumbled on the ‘Stop the Steal’ rally in front of City Hall. As she tried to walk past, people began to break away from the crowd & follow her. They asked her if she voted for Trump.
The crowd started getting closer and accused her of hitting someone. They began yelling out racial slurs and chanting “White Lives Matter”. She was then shoved from behind. Another man knocked her phone out of her hand, scratching her face in the process.
Roy Ball was already part of the crowd yelling racial slurs at her. He then picks her up and grabs her from behind with her arms pinned down. As he’s holding her he begins whispering in her ear “Don’t move they’re trying to kill you.”
She then gets pepper sprayed again.
After the assault she was interviewed and states that Roy was trying to help her out. She said this before seeing any of the videos from the day.
In reality it was two bystanders who pulled her out and walked her to safety.
