On Trump's lawyers

Remember, he never pays them anyway. Those that got payments - received those from other organizations like Trump's re-election team or a Republican donor. Or the taxpayer. Trump even used Attorney General Bill Barr as his personal attorney

All lawyers around Trump from Pat Cipollone & Jay Sekulow at White House counsel, to his old friends Rudy Giuliani & Chris Christie, to his new friends like Sen Lindsey Graham, to his personal pet, Bill Barr - have been saying the same thing: Trump cannot pardon himself

That Trump is such a baby, he keeps asking this question again and again, as if he'll get a different answer - tells us how childish he is.

The reality is, that Trump's last significant damage to America will likely be the pardons he issues. We have to hope it is less not more

I am 100% certain that Trump has asked numerous times of Mike Pence if they'd do a swap, where Trump steps down in the last days, and Pence pardons Trump. Similar to how Ford pardoned Nixon.

It doesn't mean Trump would do it, but he has been obsessed about HIS OWN PARDON...

Pence knows pardoning Trump would be the end of his political career. And he thinks he has a viable path to the Presidency haha.

It MAY happen. I say it is HIGHLY unlikely.

But what is CERTAIN, is that Trump WILL pardon himself

Trump WILL pardon himself. That pardon will then get challenged in the courts, and it is HIGHLY likely (but not certain) that SCOTUS will overturn his self-pardon as simply illegal by placing the President above the law. The pardon power cannot let a President pardon himself.

The more Trump is reminded, that he cannot pardon himself (even though he will) the more it infuriates Trump - why would he then pardon others? Because MOST of Trump's pardons WILL STAND. It is plausible/possible that pardons delivered through BLACKMAIL (or bribe) be overturned

In other words, Roger Stone famously threatened Trump - that should be taken as a test case by the new DOJ through the courts, to see, if it stands and get a SCOTUS ruling on it. Similarly Trump seemed to offer a pardon to Manafort as a bribe. Would that stand?

The last 6 days of Trump will include the drama of #PardonRoulette

Who will Trump pardon. He will most def pardon his kids and likely Jared and the Nazi Jew Stephen Miller. As Hope Hicks walked, maybe she won't be pardoned? She may have made a deal with the FBI already... :-)

Do NOT BE ALARMED that Trump pardons HIMSELF

That does NOT KEEP Trump away from prison. He is facing 10 investigations or trials for crimes in 7 states (NY, IL, CA, FL, DC, GA, PA) that we KNOW OF. Trump will never get out of prison. And State prisons can be worse than Federal

SAME goes for his Hitler Jugend kids. They will ALL go to prison, regardless of daddy's pardon. They have ONGOING local litigation in following jurisdictions (that we know of):
Ivanka: DC inaugration financial crimes
Eric: NY campaign finance crimes
Don Jr: DC riot related crimes

I mean literally brainwashing. MOST OF YOU have relatives or friends who are inside the cult. They cannot be reasoned with. They cannot find the truth. They believe in their brainwashing.

PERFECTLY SANE even intelligent people can be brainwashed. It is not 'stupidity'

Yes MANY of the Trump #cult45 are gullible and some are mentally simple, many are lowly educated. BUT plenty of smart, educated, successful people have fallen into the cult - and like any cult - they cannot get out.

They cannot find the truth.

If you learn from the doctor, that you have cancer, that is spreading that cannot be stopped, but must be cut out, the sane thing is to cut out as soon as possible, to remove as little as possible? Right?

I showed you, that the GOP accepted racists into their midst (Wallace). Then they made deliberate decision to abandon fighting for the political center, and embrace extremist views (Newt). Then GOP fell in love with conspiracy theories (Sarah Palin) and locked into a cult (Fox)

All this makes the current GOP a FRINGE party, a natural MINORITY party that cannot win general elections and only can win those elections where the race is artificially in their favor (gerrymandering) or cheating (voter suppression etc).

Fox was set up from the start to be a PROPAGANDA channel. To give PARTIAL and BIASED news. Not the full picture. They brainwashed 1/3 of American electorate over 3 decades

Long before Trump decided to run, Fox had been building a voter base for an ultra-conservative (and racist) candidate. Who would 'defend America in a war against Christmas' and who would 'build a wall' to keep brown people away etc. A cult of white men who feared a changing world

Trump needed to expand his support in 2015 & 2016. He needed INSANE voters.

The real prototype candidate to Donald Trump is Sarah Palin - a candidate so bad, she COST John McCain millions of votes in 2008 against Obama. Yes, exit polls are clear, for every 2 votes Sarah brought in to McCain she brought 3 votes to Obama. Net cost to McCain several MILLION

So my Ph D treaties on Twitter, about how Trump split up the GOP. We start with history of course. And we go to the political era before Trump. To the origins.

No. Not Sarah Palin.

No. Not Newt Gingrich. The origins:

So reality check to my younger Tweeps, some who do not know this. Up to the 1960s, it was the DEMOCRATIC party that was the racist party and the Republicans stood for equal rights. Yes that is true.

The South had 'Dixie-crats' who were KKK Nazis, Democrats who were openly racist

The last Racist to openly run for President to win some (Southern) states - was former Democrat - turned Independent, George Wallace.

Democrats threw the racists out of their party and embraced the minorities, with a passion. Today it seems impossible to imagine DEMs as racists
