1. quick thread on the media's never-ending desire to claim GOP is "breaking" with Trump.

2. Beltway press played right into McConnell's hand this week, showering him w/ attention suggesting he was standing up to Trump. in fact McConnell has done *nothing* to support impeachment.
3. still, press suggested "floodgates" would soon open and GOPs might rush to vote YES on impeachment.

10 did; that's 5% of caucus.

yet we're *still* seeing "GOP Divided" today headlines.

spoiler: they are not.

I still don’t understand all this media heavy breathing abt McConnell and impeachment. all bc anonymous aides say he “supports” it??

folks, if McConnell agrees to bring back Senate for trial on Friday, that’s a big deal.

everything else is just window dressing
as of now, Senate trial will be after Trump leaves office. McConnell can change that if he really supports impeachment

anyone think he will??
