MAGA want to talk about censorship?

-Let’s talk about the 30,000,000+ Californians that only have two senators

-Talk about the 3,000,000+ Puerto Ricans without basically any real representation

-Talk about the number of times Republicans lost the popular vote and won
-Talk about rushing through a Scotus nomination in the days before an election

-Talk about politicians picking your voters through gerrymandering and not voters picking their politicians.

-Talk about the millions of ppl that went to jail for minor drug offenses that can’t vote
- The hundreds of thousands of people that live in DC that basically zero representation.

- Sen Cotton attempting to get the 1619 project banned in public schools so that kids don’t learn about the actual history of slavery.
-Talk about the Republican elected officials that turn off their replies to stop constituents that disagree from replying to them.(tbh I’m kind of surprised this is considered constitutional)
-Talk about trying to throw out 80 million votes through staging an attempted coup.

White supremacy and toxic masculinity is a deadly cocktail.
I agree with people that say we need a better term than toxic masculinity these men are incredibly fragile and anything with the word toxic and it is going to turn them away.
I just have never heard a different term for it

The urban rural divide in this election reminds me a lot of this reading we did in class earlier this semester.

Modernization, Cultural Change, and Democracy The Human Development Sequence By Ronald Inglehart and Christian Wezel

“The shift from traditional to secular rational values linked with industrialization brings a secularization of authority. But the shift from survival to selfexpression values linked with postindustrialization brings emancipation from autho”

Why do I keep my dms open?

To let Trump/NRA supporters waist their time screaming in to a void I at a radom college student they’ve never met as they’re not registering voters and organizng and I am 😂
Why work harder when you can just get your opposition to waste a shit load of their time as you do homework 🙂
Also there’s a lot of wholesome comments I see that I can’t respond to but people are so kind 🥺

In 2018 elected officials said we couldn’t get gun laws passed because the electorate wouldn’t support it.

So @AMarch4OurLives and other youth activist groups changed the electorate ☺️

Imagine calling the immigrant parents that bring their children to the United States for a better life “Coyotes”

The level of xenophobia is sickening.
I know what a Coyote is T has a hist of generalizing anyone coming across the boarder, these parents are not coyotes The vast majority of kids come here with parents and he is trying to lump everyone in together erase refugee status by labeling them as he did calling them rapists
“There are sporadic examples of people arriving at the border with children who aren’t their own, though those are usually more distant family members (aunts and uncles, for example) or family friends. Nearly all of the kids at issue were, instead, traveling with their parents, “

That’s how many times between 1947 and 1989, the US via the CIA tried to change other nations’ governments through by covertly funding campaigns, supporting information warfare through propaganda campaigns, and the often violent assignation of democratically elected leaders.
Keep in mind those are only the times that we know about, think about all the stuff we never will.
