THREAD — Here's what we know about North Korea's latest military parade:
- North Korea rolled out what looks like four Pukguksong-class submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs). No ICBM spotted.
- Kim Jong Un attended the event wearing a leather jacket and fur hat.
- North Korea also showed off short-range ballistic missiles, tanks and other armored vehicles.
- State media said the parade is meant to show people both at “home and abroad” that the DPRK’s military and nuclear weapons capabilities are strong.
- On Thursday, an informed source told NK News that military aircraft illuminated with LED lights were flying in formation over Kim Il Sung Square just after 7 p.m. local time, later releasing fireworks mid-flight.

The Sunday edition of the Rodong Sinmun is carrying Kim Yo Jong's warning to South Korea.
This is not a good sign.
If there was even a small hope this is all just bluster, by carrying it domestically in the main newspaper it makes it much harder for Pyongyang to change course.
Clarification: Though the Kim Yo Jong warning is carried on the online version of the Rodong, we've not been able to check yet if it's in the print-edition.
We'll keep you posted on this as it's an important issue.
Update: It was indeed included in the print version, we have been told.
Trump: nobody knows how it will turn out but it is a historic day, quick notice no one saw this coming, in speaking with President Moon, often times he said the meeting itself is historic and there's something to that.
Trump: So we have agreed to have teams set up (refers to Pompeo, Biegun) & what's going to happen is over the next two or three weeks, the teams are going to start working to see whether they can do something. Pretty big stuff, complicated, but not as complicated as people think.
