I’m here in Columbus, Ohio where the state house has been boarded up in anticipation of one of tomorrow’s armed rallies that are being called for at all 50 state Capitol buildings.

A perimeter fence is up and the windows are boarded.
The National Guard was already activated for the event.

At the back of the building, I spotted an MRAP being prepped.
This is the view from the front of the building, where door is only exposed element not boarded up.
A two man team with spotter scope is set up across the street from the state house’s front entrance.

Presumably, police will have a sniper team across from the rally tomorrow.
On the south side of the Capitol is the Ohio Theater, which is now boarded up with a notice posted that the Columbus Symphony is postponing their “Russian Winter Festival” performance due to the upcoming protest.

VIDEO THREAD: Today I filmed as "boogaloo" activists marched to the Ohio State House in Columbus for an armed "unity rally."
Ahead of the event, mounted officers came over and let the boogaloo activists pet their horses.

The interaction was very friendly.

"The boss is calling, uh-oh!" a cop joked at the end of this clip.

"Why are you talking to the insurgents?" he joked that his boss would say.
Police photographed participants as they began in front of the Ohio state house.

"Henry Locke" introduced the group as "the Ohio Boogaloo" and said he wanted to spread a "message of unity."

He emphasized that they're not pro-Trump or pro-Biden.

Here at Columbus State House, law enforcement and National Guard preparing for armed rally expected to begin in 2.5 hours from now.

I’ll be filming and livestreaming throughout the day.
National Guard mostly set up around the perimeter while State Troopers are moreso on the grounds of the state house itself.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is out here shaking hands with state troopers.

He tells @localnewsdude and me he wants to “make sure constitutional rights are respected” the “peace stays peaceful.”

INTERVIEW: Tonight, I interviewed three "boogaloo boys" and original organizers of the armed rallies taking place Sunday at state capitols.

@HenryLocke16, @classcountryboi, and one who wanted to remain fully anonymous will be participating tomorrow, and went on camera.
The group clarified to me that their rally, which had been organized for months, isn't pro-Trump.

"We recognize that Joe Biden is going to to be the next president of the United States," said @HenryLocke16. "Fulfill your oath and respect our constitutional rights."
Another of them said he doesn't care who the president is, and doesn't even vote.

His priority is more-so state governments, he says.

"Honestly, I think our beef is more with our states than the fed."

Generally, it is not true that participants in the Capitol insurgency were anything other than Trump supporters.

Contrary claims have been debunked.

In fairness however, this activist - John Sullivan of Utah - appears to be a non-Trumper who went in.

While there don't appear to be signs that he was part of an organized infiltration, he did indeed yell “we about to burn this shit down."

Given the use of "we," I do think it's fair to say he infiltrated the event.

This is the only such legitimate case I'm aware of so far.
Sullivan had previously been arrested on riot charges participating in a counter-protest against police supporters.

Suspicious package found at firehouse in Northwest DC.

I am heading there now to film / monitor the situation.

On a personal note, this is somewhat near my home and I’ve become friendly with workers there; This is where I’ve gotten COVID tests about monthly this year.
I’m at Van Ness where a “suspicious package” was apparently found near the fire station.

I can’t get especially close but I’ll standby here with updates.
For context, this is the same firehouse I filmed (and got my COVID test) at.

Today I filmed the interior of the Capitol, which is now under the 24/7 protection of hundreds of National Guard soldiers, inside and out.

Inside, several are camping out and sleeping, while others could be seen prepping weapons and standing in formation.
During the time I was inside the Capitol today, soldiers could be seen marching in the Capitol Visitor's Center.
Outside the Capitol was also packed with soldiers.

Some could be seen unloading a truck of rifles and handguns.

Upwards of 20,000 troops are expected to protect Washington DC through Inauguration Day until as late as January 24.
