🚨With three days left in his miserable tenure, trump and other criminals in his orbit are talking about buying and selling pardons.

Anyone involved in this scheme should be locked up including trump.
nytimes.com/2021/01/17/us/… ImageImage
It should surprise no one that trump’s disgraced personal lawyer rudy giuliani is involved in a pardons-for-bribes scam and was reported to the FBI for allegedly seeking $2 Million to buy a pardon from trump.

In November I filed a complaint against rudy demanding his disbarment. ImageImage
Even less surprising trump has been discussing pardoning himself and his kids.

Reminder: pardons issued to stop probes of the trump crime family would be prosecutable obstruction of justice and any trump self-pardons would be illegal and unenforceable.

Trump’s use of pardons to shield sleazy scoundrels, unrepentant racists, war criminals, and other scum of the earth constitute some of the most corrupt acts ever committed by an American President. My oped explored the danger.

🧵 On January 6 rightwing extremists attacked your nation’s Capitol, tried to kill, and sought to end democracy.

Every American should watch these harrowing videos from @NewYorker to see up close the fascism that now stands at our doorstep.
Before they breached the Capitol, the fascist mob constructed gallows and nooses and threatened police officers with violence.
The mob then attacked Capitol police officers and forced their way in, hunting for Members of Congress.

I’ve been sounding the alarm on rightwing domestic extremism for over a decade.

Back in 2009 I pleaded w/ my colleagues to listen to Mr. Johnson’s warnings. His report was tragically buried after Rush Limbaugh and other liars created a firestorm.

But his predictions came true.
In 2017 after Charlottesville I interviewed Mr. Johnson (@DTAnalytics). Listen carefully. He’s been right about rightwing terror longer than anyone.
Rightwing domestic terrorism is a threat to every community in America — and it’s growing.

Coldblooded murderers, rampaging neo-nazis, militia maniacs, and other domestic terrorists have exploded bc trump has spent 4 years winking at, nodding to, and encouraging their violence.

I just voted to impeach donald trump for inciting insurrection and trying to violently end American democracy.
Donald Trump is dangerous and the greatest internal threat ever to American democracy. Trump sowed insurrection to overthrow our government and he came close to succeeding. Trump engaged in treason.
Trump's atrocities have not abated but accelerated by failure to constrain him. The blood of dead is on his hands. If his actions are not impeachable, then nothing is. And when he is out of office, trump must be prosecuted for his crimes too.

I’m cosponsoring @RepCori's resolution. Any House members who tried to overturn the election and install a dictator violated the Constitution and should not sit in Congress.
Back on December 11th I was the *first* member to demand against seating in Congress anyone supporting insurrection against the government. They are violating Sec 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. ImageImage
Section 3 of the 14th Amendment was written after the Civil War to bar from government any traitors who would seek to destroy the Union. It forbids Congressmembers from engaging in insurrection against America.

Trying to overturn an election is a pretty clear example of that. Image

In November, I called for the prosecution of donald trump.

With today's bombshell report of trump's attempted vote-rigging on tape, I want to do a thread highlighting some of his specific crimes and bad acts from A to Z.

What follows is the tip of the iceberg.
Abuse of power. Trump was rightly impeached for high crimes and using his office to help himself politically. nytimes.com/2019/12/18/us/…
Bribery. Trump has pocketed enormous bribes through his hotels. independent.co.uk/news/world/ame…

On bill barr’s last day as the most corrupt Attorney General America‘s ever had, let me reup my thread of some of his lowlights
Barr lied about the contents of the Mueller Report’s findings to the public right out of the gate and repeatedly lied about them under oath.
nytimes.com/2020/03/05/us/…
Barr intervened to let trump's convicted friend slimeball roger stone off scot-free after stone coordinated with putin vessels to leak dirt during the 2016 election
