Jagmeet, in case you are confused, conservatives like Jason Kenney's UCP are not your friends. They certainly aren't any friends of Albertans. Do you know they are letting Australians lop the tops off mountains for coal for China? It's not up to PMJT to fix our premier' gambling
With our money. Kenney did this knowing full well that Biden could win and he would cancel it. He bet on Trump. He lost. Unfortunately, he was gambling with Albertans' money. Kenney let Albertans down Yet again. Don't grab this as a stick to bash the Liberals with.
I am completely baffled by your statements, not just on this, but on many subjects. The NDP is not going to be the federal government for quite some time. You are not going to be PM. With the LPC in government the NDP has a much better chance of getting good things done...
For Canadians. That's what you want, isn't it? None of the stuff you say you want for Canada is going to be even considered by the CPC. Yet, again and again, you seem to side with the CPC and try to push voters towards them. It's not a good look.

Jason Kenney bet our money on Trump winning. No doubt he was shocked when whatever the GOP was doing to try to ensure a win didn't work. It was supposed to work, you see. Whatever it was. But it didn't, and here we are, with an angry Premier shouting at and blaming everyone else.
We are seeing a grown man who made a very bad calculation, having a very public meltdown. He invested in a risky deal and it fell through. Now he seems to think he is owed some sort of compensation. That really isn't how the world works.
Of course, all that money is a bit of a windfall to TCE. They are cutting their losses and getting out, laying off workers. And they are going out the door with our money. Why isn't Kenney asking for the oil company to give it back? Unless, of course...

The people moaning and wailing and gnashing their teeth over the delay in vaccines suggest they never learned patience as a child. Pfizer is upgrading their facilities so they can keep up with demand. This has all happened really, really fast. 1/10
This is necessary and they really haven't had time to do this concurrent with developing a vaccine in record time. This, "I want it NOW!" attitude, particularly among political leaders, is disturbing. Very immature. And entitled. 2/10
My grandmother used to say, "Possess your soul in patience" and there was not a damn thing anyone could do to make whatever it was happen any faster, once she said it. It was an important thing to learn. Some things you can't have right away. 3/10

Last Monday I had the foresight to order Centre Ice so we could watch the Jets games. On Thursday we had the game on Centre Ice. Today we get the message saying we aren't subscribed to that channel... 1/7
So I phone them to sort it out. Of course, no matter how "important " my call is to them, they do not have enough people to answer the phone. I have a wait time of 20 to 25 minutes. Roughly the entire first period... 2/7
This has been a problem every season since the Jets came back to Wpg. See, in Alberta, the NHL doesn't want people watching or cheering for out of market teams. We live in AB, so they figure we should cheer for the Flames or the Oilers. It doesn't work that way. 3/7

Our MLA, @MirandaRosinAB penned an article for the local High Country News in which she expresses how upset she is with public health orders and the "loss of freedom". 1/25+
highcountrynews.ca/mla-update-mir…
Ms Rosin is not stranger to controversy or conspiracy theories. Oct 2018, while campaigning, Rosin said about healthcare: "I think we need to look at a two-tiered system, so that we can get those who have worked hard for their money out of the system if they would like to.”2/25+
She said COVID concentration camps would only be the work of the federal government, and in November released a statement declaring the worst of the pandemic was over. 3/25+

Less than half of Albertans vote UCP. There are those who could have voted, but didn't. And those who split up the vote between various other parties. But when it comes right down to it, Kenney did not have an actual 50%+ majority. 1/ #ableg
And there are few UCP supporters now who agree with absolutely everything the UCP does. There are health care workers who have been shocked by the attacks on them. There are education workers who have been shocked by the attacks on them. 2/
There are parents who are not impressed with how school is happening with COVID. There are ranchers who are alarmed about coal mines destroying their pasturelands and water supply. There are people who are on AISH, or who care about people on AISH, who are not pleased. 3/

Kenney is letting Aussie coal companies come and rip up our mountains and pay a pittance for the land use. And now we see this. Is Alberta being used as a work-around in the dispute between Australia and China? #ableg theguardian.com/world/2020/dec…
If so, why? Why would the UCP let these foreign companies have the land use/ destruction for... checks notes... $36 per hectare? Is it a favour to an IDU-member government? Are benefits to UCP MLAs on the table? Who does this? Why?
Someone comes along and says "We want to destroy your natural environment, pollute your air & water, & cause irrevocable damage. Can you give us a good deal on the land use?" and the UCP says, "Well sure! You can have this land for a fraction of what a farmer would have to pay."
