We all love our #SaaS stocks but did you know the actual meaning behind the names of these Co.'s?🤔

Below are 🔟of my favorite. How many of them did you know already?😀

$OKTA $SNOW $SHOP $VEEV $TEAM $AYX $CHGG $LVGO $MDB $PLTR
1⃣ $OKTA Okta : A unit used in meteorology to measure cloud cover. ☁️

2⃣ $SNOW Snowflake : Snowflakes are “born in the cloud”. Data warehouse built from the ground up for the cloud.🌨️
3⃣ $SHOP Shopify : Shop(ping) + (Simpl)ify 🛍️✅

4⃣ $VEEV Veeva : Veeva, a variant of the Latin word viva which means “to live,” attests to the company's singular commitment to the Life sciences industry.❤️
5⃣ $TEAM Atlassian : Atlas, whose role in life was to prevent the sky from falling by holding it up, providing an incredible service to the world. Atlassian strives to provide that same level of "Legendary Service" to each and everyone of their customers. 💪
6⃣ $AYX Alteryx : Alter YX coordinates. Initial vision "to build software products capable of altering and enhancing disparate corporate data assets with spatial intelligence for the purpose of improved decision-making." 📈
7⃣ $CHGG Chegg : Blend of the words Chicken and Egg. Reflecting the founders’ struggle post-college – not finding a job without experience, but could not get experience without a job. The classic chicken and egg scenario.🐔🥚📚
8⃣ $LVGO Livongo : Enables it's Customer to spend more time enjoying "Life on the Go". ❤️🏃‍♂️

9⃣ $MDB MongoDB : “Mongo” being short for the word humongous, because of the database’s ability to scale up with ease and hold very large amounts of data.📄📊
🔟 $PLTR Palantir : (From Lord Of The Rings) An indestructible ball of crystal, used for both communication and as a means of seeing events in other parts of the world. 💎💬🔭
Few more (non-SaaS) that I found interesting and did not know earlier.

✔️Lego : is a combination of the Danish phrase leg godt, which translates to "play well."

✔️ Verizon : is a combination of the words veritas, which is Latin for "truth," and horizon.
✔️ IKEA : is a random collection of letters. It uses the first letters of founder Ingvar Kamprad's name and the first letters of the Swedish property and the village where he grew up - Elmtaryd Agunnaryd.
✔️ $PTON Peloton : A name derived from cycling and used to describe the principle of surrounding the key rider with experts whom together perform faster than any one individual. This allows the key rider to gain performance way in excess of being a sole rider.🚴‍♂️
What are some of your favorite ones? (Don't say Amazon, Nike, Starbucks, Roku) 😂

Investing in Stocks = Investing in Businesses = Investing in People (Founders/Mgmt & Employees)

The best piece I've read on "Why investing in Founder led Co's is awesome".👏

Let's start with a quiz.

I've picked 10 Founder CEOs from some wonderful Co.'s in my Portfolio. How many of them can you identify (w/o Googling😀). Mix of easy/hard ones to keep it interesting.

Intentionally left out Bezos, Zuck, Benioff, Dorsey, Lutke etc.
