So @seanspicer is again complaining about the @whca taking too long to approve his application, as if he's a victim of some form of "cancel culture."
I have no idea what the WHCA will decide, but it very much looks like he's ineligible.
Here's why. (thread 1/)
You see, Newsmax isn't Sean's only gig.
Sean has two other ventures going. RigWil and Point 1.
2/
RigWil, according to his website and this @PRWeekUS piece, is "a strategic consulting firm that provides insights to C-suite corporate and association executives."
One of his employees even said he's "advising clients who are "looking to have meetings on the Hill." 3/
.@POTUS: "For the past year, we couldn't rely on the federal government to act with urgency and focus and coordination we needed. And we have seen the tragic costs of that failure."
Biden: "While the vaccine provides so much hope the rollout has been a dismal failure thus far...I understand why many governors, mayors county officials tribal leaders, feel like they're left on their own without a clear national plan to get them through the crisis. "
MORE: "We didn't get into this mess overnight. It's gonna take months for us to turn things around. But let me be equally clear, we will get through this. We will defeat this pandemic. And to a nation waiting for action. Let me be the clearest on this point. Help is on the way."
NOW: @PressSec delivers "message on behalf of the entire White House" — "The violence we saw yesterday at our nation's capitol was appalling reprehensible and antithetical to the American way. We condemn it the President and this administration and the strongest possible terms."
So @RudyGiuliani is on his radio show repeating debunked nonsense about how it was really "antifa" who heeded @realDonaldTrump's call to storm the Capitol.
"This was a setup," he says, before going on to complain about Democrats and #BlackLivesMatter protests.
"This these rioters didn't get all incited by President Trump or by Donald Jr or by me, or by Professor Eastman or anyone else, because they came to the scene they came to the show with the implements to break in...They came there with bats they came there with hammers," he says
"And when you watch him scaling the wall. It looks like a scene out of, oh Game of Thrones or something. These are well trained people," @RudyGiuliani says, blaming the Capitol Police rather than the pro-Trump rioters.
NOW: @JoeBiden on riots — "Yesterday, in my view, one of the darkest days in the history of our nation. An unprecedented assault on our democracy...an assault on the rule of law and assault on the most sacred of American undertakings..."
"Don't dare call them protesterss, they were...insurrectionist domestic terrorists...We could see it coming, the past four years we've had a president who's made his contempt for our democracy. Our Constitution, the rule of law, clear in everything he has done."
Every network except for the usual suspects (OAN/Newsmax) is carrying @JoeBiden as he delivers a very harsh denunciation of @realDonaldTrump.
Trump campaign or whoever is running this rally must not have got the cease and desist from John Fogerty usatoday.com/story/entertai…
Also the only proper helicopter entrance music is "Ride of the Valkyries" from Act 3 of "Die Walküre"
Trump's entrance at what will probably be his last political rally as president is decidedly low-energy, from the smaller Marine One (a VH-60N) to the overall staging.
