An Embassy spokesperson says: This is not a policy change or indication of future policy change
My 2 cents: It was the Trump that united Israel, WB & Gaza under one embassy. Biden said he wants to separate them again.
And it's back
"It was an inadvertent edit, and not reflective of a policy change" - embassy source
I really think people don't understand that it was a Trump administration policy that Palestinians fall under the purview of the embassy to Israel. The initial name change is *the opposite* of Biden's stated preferred policy. Blaming it on Biden makes no sense.
Also, the title on the embassy website wasn't changed, even though Friedman was removed from the website, further suggesting that there wasn't an actual policy change here, more like an overzealous social media manager.

J Street, New Israel Fund, Americans for Peace Now, Habonim Dror North America, T'ruah & others released a statement opposing the IHRA definition of antisemitism saying it has "potential for misuse." Dozens of governments have adopted the definition since it came out in 2016. 1/
IHRA definition: “Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical & physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals &/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions 2/
and religious facilities.”
The progressive orgs oppose the "contemporary examples" of antisemitism, like claiming “the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor." 3/3

Oh also, in Israel, Telegram is famous for being a place to buy weed. Here's a podcast about that: israelstory.org/episode/milk-h…
#BREAKING Israel establishes ties with Bhutan. Signing to take place tonight.
More details on Israel and Bhutan normalization here. Bhutan only has full diplomatic relations with 53 other countries! jpost.com/international/…
This is the result of several years of growing ties between Israel and Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom in the Himilayas, which intentionally limits its relations with the world to preserve its culture and environment.
In a few minutes, Netanyahu is expected to light Hanukkah candles at the Kotel with Amb. Friedman, and comment on normalization with Morocco.
Netanyahu said the citizens of Israel are getting the "great light of peace" for Hanukkah.
Netanyahu: Everyone knows the warm ties of the kings of Morocco and Moroccan ppl to the Jewish community there. 100s of 1000s of Jews moved from Morocco to Isreal and they form a living bridge between the ppl of those countries. This is the foundation on which we build this peace
