Midwits shedding tears of joy in false hope that the "statesmanship" of technocratic incompetence papered over with faux platitudes can now rise again...shifty-souled swamp creatures wiping away tears of relief that grift can be predicted again! It shall all return to "normal"!
Meanwhile, the situation internationally and domestically has changed. The gross miseducated incompetence of the ruling classes of the last few decades has had very serious consequences. And this time, this late in the day, they will not be able to avoid dealing with them.
They're about to run it all into...the ground, off the cliff, into a brick wall, etc. They're going to really break things now, & w/eager zeal to boot. Arm in arm w/radicals for whom this is, in fact, the aim. But, they will all say, it is perfectly reasonable for us to do X...

The important thing to realize: Republican leaders and “the establishment” did not learn anything from Trump. They didn’t want to. And they don’t care if half the country voted for him. They don’t care about you and don’t consider you their boss. They’ve been in denial for 4yrs.
The denial of R elite (that the base already left them when it chose Trump) isn’t going to change.

“But—but—won’t this lead the party off a cliff? Won’t this lead to their own demise?”

Yes, yes it will. But they don’t believe it. You saw the inauguration yesterday, didn’t you?
These people do not hold themselves accountable to you, but to the corrupt oligarchy. To the ruling class. Their allegiance is not to you. This will be their undoing unless they flip completely to the other side and stop pretending. But don’t expect them to change or “get it.”

Here’s a middle aged husband and father tip thread: we get in “the tunnel” of kid-rearing d work, and things get robotic. You just put one foot in front of the other. Happiness declines. You just do. But here’s what you need to do: show your wife and kids your personality.
You don’t need extraneous experiences or extra crap for your “mid-life crisis”—damn that boomer phrase! You need to get out of dude robotic reaction to all the stuff you gotta do and have fun, yes. *But with your wife and kids.* Reach back into the mischievous bastard pirate.
Drink at home on Friday night & teach yer kids poker or something you used to nerd out on. Use your strength and author-it-tie to surprise them and your wife with your likes and stop being a dad-simp. Bring them all into what you like. Romance the woman w/your old school charm.

The whole point of mainstream media is the radicalization of its audience, of course.
Oh, you thought the American public just happened to change its mind in the light of cool reason over the last few decades on topic after controversial topic?
The stern fear about "radicalization" causing "violence" outside mainstream institutions/platforms is really just concern that there might be competition. Radicalization via mainstream institutions & platforms leading to violence is the story of the entire summer of 2020 riots.

As head of the CIA this man lied to the United States Senate about the fact that under his direction the CIA spied on the United States Senate to counter their investigation of CIA interrogation measures. He lied to the American public about drone casualties, & much else besides.
He was never punished, never fired. But he demands that half of America publicly renounce their support of his political opponent whom he also spied on. Might be a reason why these dangerous fascists are so obsessed with Russia...
But he not only walks free and is paid to collaborate with partisan media outlets—he is considered one of our elite masters by The Party. And if The Party demands that every major corporation support its narrative, you must do the same.
