@drdagly @AB_MD_WarRoom @joececiyyc @RKSAlberta #ableg Sitting in emerg. Fever with chemo is life threatening. Because I have a fever I’m assumed to be covid. So far today I’ve heard two admissions from other rooms on the unit:
1 - she took a Mexican vacation “to support west jet”. I wish I was making that up. She said while struggling to breathe while during her questionnaire pre swab. Heard doc tell her her chest X-ray is quite bad. She was admitted an hour later.
2 - we had a New Years party at my house. I thought it was just like a flu and ok. He said after vomiting for over an hour. His chest X-ray results were also very bad and they told him his O2 was dropping.
Both those messages were reiterating what our Premier has publicly told people. On Monday when I had to come beee for chemo complications I waited 5 hours to be admitted as they cleared 10 different suspected covid people from triaged.
Hospitals are crowded, and our in premier’s last interview with Danielle Smith he continued to tell people it isn’t about getting to 0. They talked about Florida as a success. The place where a data scientist was arrested at gun point for sharing data. The place with 24k deaths.
I have curable cancer. I’ll be experiencing these side effects for two more months at least to get there though. @jkenney @shandro when you say “lives and livelihoods” I cringe because you clearly don’t mean mine.
Thank you to all the healthcare workers who are plugging through this. If I was a wealthy man I would give you all a vacation when this has passed us.
