- Victory of Narad Muni over 'Kama' .

Why Shri Hari Vishnu ji smiled when he received the curse and said, “I accept your curse Narad, And now I have to go down and save the earth from the atrocities of Ravana".

Once upon a time a Narad ji was performing a penance in the cave of Himalayas.

Indra becoming fearful sent Kamadev to obstruct his penance. But Kamadeva was unsuccessful in his attempt as the place where Narada was doing penance was the same place where Shiv ji did penance.

After the completion of his penance, Narad ji became arrogant that he had defeated Kamadeva and he went to Kailash & narrated about his feat to Shiv ji.

He was not realizing the fact that is happened only because of the divine power of Shiva.

Shiv ji listened to his arrogant statement & he advised Narad ji not to reveal this secret to anybody.

But Narad ji went to Brahmaloka and narrated his story to Brahma ji.

He listened to his boisterous statements and advised him not to reveal this to anybody.

But Narada was not satisfied.He wanted to give the news of his achievement to Vishnu ji So, he went to Vishnu's abode and tell about his story of defeating Kamdeva.

Vishnu ji with a desire to subdue his inflated ego, manifested his illusionary power with the blessings of Shiva

While Narad ji was returning from Vaikuntha Lok, he saw a beautiful city & it is ruled by King SheelaNidhi

He had a daughter (Vishwamohini) and her Swayamvar was being organised. Many kings had arrived to take part in Swayamvar

Narad ji also entered into that Swayambar laterly,

The king requested Narad Muni to study the palm line of the princess , narad ji was infatuated by the princess beauty.

He returne back to Vishnu ji and express his desire to marry the princess and he also requested Vishnu ji to make him as handsome as himself.

Vishnu ji made Nard ji whole body beautiful except his face, which he made like a monkey ; Naradji was unaware of this and he went happily in Swayamvar.

Narad ji sat among the other kings and Vishnu ji was also present there . The princess saw Narad ji who was looking like a

monkey.

She was amused. Ultimately she put the garland around the neck of Shri Hari Vishnu and went to Vaikuntha Lok along with him.

Some of Shiva ganas also present there in the guise of brahmin (Marud ganas) they say to Narad ji to look the reflection of the face in water.

After watching his face Narad ji became vey angry and he curse the Marudganas to be born as Rakshas even though being Brahmin by birth.

Furious Narad ji then went to Vishnu ji and curse him - " You too would suffer in the separation from your wife during your Avtaar of Shri Ram

and monkey would come to your help"

Shri Hari Vishnu accept the curse of Narad ji without any hesitation later then he removed the power by which Narad ji mind was influenced.

Now Narad ji regretted his action, and Vishnu ji told Narad ji everything happened because of Shiva

Divine illusions.

" You did not pay heed to his advice and hence Shiva by his illusions has taught you a lesson".

Shiva is beyond the reach of three basic qualities - Satva, Rajo, Tamas therefore you must worshipped and contemplated on the name of Shiva. All of your sins

will destroyed.

After preaching Narad ji Vishnu ji vanished from his sight. Narad then descended down to the earth while having darshan of various Shivlingas, he saw two of the Marudganas, whim he had curse.

He told both of them that they would take birth from the giantess

womb but their father would be sages.

He also told them they would become very famous due to their Bhakti, Narad ji later went to Brahma ji and requested him to tell about the divinity of Shiv ji.
