Indeed. A lot of this weird stuff I see in the US is so far removed from the original Christian faith and how it's practiced in the Levant, where it originated.

He also supported arming "moderate rebels" in Syria which is a nice way of saying hardliners and Al Qaeda off-shoots – who incidentally participated in ethnic cleansing against Christians and other groups. These people are the biggest hypocrites.

And then of course you have all of the other racist crap at home that they try to justify, most of it being in direct contradiction with Christianity. They co-opt religion and patriotism in order to claim moral superiority– it's all just a facade. Nothing new.
