I cheered to see the results of the US election. It was an enormous relief (as many Republicans agreed) to see the defeat of Trump. An enormous relief for the environment; /1

An enormous relief for all those desperate for COVID relief and a centralized vaccination and testing program; /2

An enormous relief for undocumented immigrants, who have been living in fear; /3

An enormous relief for those concerned for the preservation of democracy and voting rights; /4

An enormous relief for those who are eager to see a renewed commitment to facts, to science and to the truth. To renounce lies. Let’s agree to commit to facts, science and truth./5

Let’s make sure that people understand it is not scientific or truthful to base policy on the nebulous concept of “gender identity” instead of the scientific, factual truth of biological sex./7

It is also not “kind”. Let’s forge ahead, not just in the US but everywhere, with policies ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity and without discrimination./8

But girls and women, lesbians, gays and bisexuals have rights too. Perhaps you have been told that all LGBT people agree with the gender identity lobby. Not true./9

Let’s start a conversation. About the US Equality Act #HR5 and similar legislative proposals worldwide. Without polarizing or hurling insults. About how to treat kids with gender dysphoria. About how to be fair and truthful to everyone. Facts matter. Fairness matters./10
