Super proud of @TemiMarcella & the exceptional work she has done to bring a world class hospital to Nigeria - Evercare Hospital Lekki!

I just got a chance to do a tour of the hospital & I'm impressed!

With 165 overnight beds, Evercare Hospital Lekki is one the largest private hospitals in Nigeria!

50 critical care beds all with ventilators is the largest in the country.

The hospital is 100% private equity funded and the Evercare Fund is managed by TPG Rise. ImageImage
The hospital has most specialties and it's own in house doctors but partners with specialists and allows them and other consultant doctors to use its facilities.

The hospital has 240 full time staff including 40 doctors and an additional 140 staff on contract ImageImageImageImage
5 operating theaters each with video capability that allows for to remote doctors to participate in surgery. Enabling other doctors from Eurocare's other 28 hospitals help out.

It also allows streaming into a 75 seat room where junior doctors can observe & learn. Image
The hospital manufactures it's own gases - which is super important. This means no search for oxygen or running out of oxygen!

Every bed in the hospital has oxygen piped directly to the bed!

There are large shared rooms of 4 people in a room and also private rooms. ImageImage
Aside from the grid, there are 3 generators to ensure 24/7 service and a very impressive power management system!

The engineering team is on hand 24/7 to ensure everything is in order.

There is a fire suppression system so any outbreaks don't get out of this room. Image
The hospital has its own in-house diagnostics center and more. Care has also been taken to shield radiology rooms etc.

The Nuclear agency in Nigeria had to come test and approve one of their equipment which is one of two in Nigeria! Image
I must say I'm beyond impressed. It has taken @TemiMarcella 5 years to get to this point (from day 1 of pitch to investment committee)

The thoughtfulness of the hospital is impressive.

Well done, Temi.

Your work will have a lasting legacy & save and improve lives!

In 2010 my driver & I were beaten by the police guards of @followlasg gov @tundefashola. They threatened to lock us up. We were scared for our lives. No one knew where we were. All because I took photos of the iconic Nitel building in Marina.

The day before we had just held the first showing of @mypaga to a group of about 20 people. The photos of the event was what made the police say "he might be someone" and finally let me go.

If not for Paga & the potential I saw to impact our country, I would have left Nigeria after that incident.

How many dreams has the Nigerian Police ended?

It's time for true Police reform @MBuhari @ProfOsinbajo. No more talk. Action.
