I value my femininity. I dress and do my hair and makeup carefully. That hasn't stopped men from accusing me of being secretly transgender, Jenna, and rhetoric like yours encourages such demeaning behavior.
I wish that I could roll up to interviews and events like men do, with a bird's nest of hair, in an ill-fitting suit, with *maybe* a brush of powder on my face.

A few years ago I was asked to speak to my high school's debate club. The club is now majority young women. I had special advice for them:
"I wish I could tell you I haven't encountered any sexism in my career, but that would be a lie. I have to work harder, speak louder...
