It seems to me people are deliberately ignoring the differences between elections and referendums.

Referendums are single issue votes that have seismic impacts. Massive change is enacted if change wins.

That is why they cannot be every few years.

Uncertainty kills economy.
Refusing to accept the results of referendums is undemocratic.

The position of the SNP/Yes re: Brexit is disingenuous.

A Yes vote in 2014 would have seen Scotland out of the EU.

SNP didn’t campaign for Remain EU. They spent more on a by-election than the Remain vote.
The SNP wrote in their white paper it was a once in a generation vote.

Hold them to that.

Or what does their word mean?

Respect The Edinburgh Agreement.

The worst thing for Scotland is to have another referendum before a fair period of time has elapsed. Why?
Why?

Because if No wins narrowly it won’t prevent Nats from agitating for a third referendum, destroying Scotland.

If Yes wins narrowly then we’d have almost half of Scots being removed from their country.

This is a powder keg ready to go off.

We have to be very careful.
As Joe Biden says: we need to lower the temperature.

There are enough nut jobs on both sides that it wouldn’t take much to have ugly scenes on our streets.

True democracy requires losers’ consent.

J’accuse the SNP of withholding this.

A few days after the 2014 vote...
There was a church service of reconciliation.

Joe Biden had a church service with both Democrat and Republican leaders on the day of his inauguration to help show unity.

In Scotland, both Salmond and Sturgeon didn’t attend.

Childish idiots.

This is not mature, adult politics.
The SNP are the politics of the mob.

Of hate, bitterness and division.

If they don’t get their way they will bully, censor and demonise opponents.

How anyone in their right mind can condone such behaviour is beyond me.

Nationalism is vile. SNP/Yes isn’t civic.
It’s toxic.

So if independence is achieved, who do they blame and turn on next?

Tories? Labour?

Each other?

We are in the a story that has been played before.

Toxic nationalism MUST always be opposed.

But... other countries have become independent and left UK!
Yes.

But Scotland was never a colony. To suggest that is insulting to the peoples who were.

And most countries that have gained independence were dirt poor.

The only way is up.

Scotland would be leaving a rich country and lose our status as a rich country. We’d be poorer.
Denying this is denying reality.

Nats don’t like reality that UK is one country.

Useful idiots help perpetuate the 4 nations pish.

Most Europeans view Scots and English as the same.

We share a language, a culture and a history.
And some Scots wish to throw it all away at the feet of rabid separatists.

The kind of people that if American would be storming the Capitol building.

We’ve been fed lies, myths and conspiracy theories for years by the SNP/Yes.
Every little, seemingly trivial, lie or mistruth is designed to perpetuate the grievance narrative that England steals or cheats Scotland.

FFs.

Grow up.

Don’t be so fukkng insecure.

We benefit greatly by being British.

But yeah, sure throw it all way for a flag.
If Nats were honest about it then independence should be total.

No pound.
No Monarchy.
No army.
No single market.
No Barnett.
No Central Bank.

Hard border.

A hard Scexit.

But they are untruthful. They wish to cherrypick.

Why?
Nats wish to make the gullible think independence would be similar but different.

Life would be the same.

It really, really wouldn’t.

Everything would change.

Look at the clusterufck of Brexit.

#indymyths are much more than a fake number on a bus.

We’d be left in tatters.
Anyone with a mortgage would be idiotic not to pay it off immediately.

Forget your pension.

People just don’t think bad things can happen nor happen to them.

But you’ve been hoodwinked.

The SNP have a propaganda wing second to none.
They spin and lie to us.

All these polls on independence? Talk about overkill?

It cannot be “settled will” of the people by its very definition in a few months or even years.

And I’ve not even mentioned the pandemic.
Without the broad shoulders of the pandemic we’d have no furlough scheme.

We’d be behind the queue to buy vaccines.

And we’d be struggling to afford a lockdown.

FFs wake up.

Seriously wake up.

Put down the Kool Aid.
Put down the flag.

As John Hume’s Da said:

“You can’t eat a flag”

And as President Joe Biden said at his inauguration:

“Disagreement must not mean disunion”.

Unity. Healing.

Time to move on.

What’s the ugly alternative?

Grow.
The.
Fcuk.
Up.

Debunking the myths and lies of the SNP/Yes and how they’ve radicalised Scots.
Scotland subsidises England.

MYTH.

We spend £81 billion for public sector yet only bring in £65 b.

GERS is collected for the SG and SNP had no issues with it when it suited them.

Can’t have it both ways.
The Scottish Government cannot borrow.

MYTH

On the ScotGov website it is there but down in the footnotes.

Scotland Act (2016).
