THREAD: Last night, @TeamYouTube performed one of the most absurd video removals I've ever experienced.

I will detail the situation in this thread. Please read (and retweet, if you'd be so kind) all of it!

This is the video in question:
On Jan6, before the Capitol Insurrection, Trump spoke for more than an hour.

Rather than simply film his speech, I filmed *the crowd* reacting to their speech.

My video - which @TeamYouTube removed - was one continuous roving take of the crowd watching.

Youtube says the video "advances false claims that widespread fraud, errors, or glitches changed the outcome of the U.S. 2020 presidential election."

@TeamYouTube is wrong.

My video shows the way a crowd reacted as Trump made such claims.

Youtube knows raw video of the Trump speech itself doesn't "advance false claims" - it document's Trump's claims.

Here's a list of some of the places Trump's full speech appears:

The only thing my video does differently than the mainstream, allowable angles of Trump's speech is I pan to the crowd.

Why does @TeamYouTube not want the world to know that the crowd - for example - chanted "fight for Trump" in response to his words?

I've already licensed the exact footage to several documentaries, and am a producer on an upcoming episode of PBS Frontline.

I think this footage is invaluable to history, and it very obviously doesn't violate the community guidelines.

@TeamYouTube

Trump has been impeached and is expected to face trial for "inciting insurrection."

This video shows the people whose insurrection he allegedly incited, at the precise moment he allegedly incited it.

Quite literally, Youtube is deleting evidence.

"...the process really begins Monday, when the House sends the article of impeachment to the Senate and both sides begin preparing for a trial with many unknowns."

Incredible that @TeamYouTube deleted an obvious piece of evidence just as this occurred.

My appeal was apparently denied by @TeamYouTube.

They now say documentary raw footage of the way the crowd reacted during Trump’s January 6 speech violates “spam, deceptive practices and scams policy.”

Youtube, please have a human being type an explanation.
Hey @TeamYouTube, this video created solid accountability for elected officials.

This is what Youtube is supposed to be about.

I’m still waiting for a human being to answer - in words - how they could believe this violated the community standards.

Hey @TeamYouTube, fun fact: The exact video you took down from my Youtube as "spam" is in this episode of BBC's documentary about President Trump.

Would it be your contention that the BBC is harmful?

Perhaps we can talk. Please have a human reply.

It seems like there’s a bit of an Internet kerfuffle right now following an interview @jimmy_dore did with a “boogaloo boy” proposing a left-boogaloo alliance.

I wanted to showcase some of how attempts to do that worked in the past year.
Whole thread here, but one interesting dynamic occurred in Ohio in July. Boogaloos originally went to an anti-mask rally which was largely right-wing, as attendees.

When BLM etc showed up, the Boogaloos basically protected the left.

Their left-loyalty is arguable situational.
Another separate thread:

On July 4, Boogaloos held a joint armed rally with @BLM757 about gun control and policing.

Worth noting that this particular BLM group is largely condemned by wider BLM org and leftists generally for demos like this.

PHOTO THREAD: I've been mostly focused on video for the past couple weeks, but here's a thread of my Inauguration Day photos from Wednesday in Washington DC.

As always, all my work is available to license.
National Guard soldiers enjoy a @dunkindonuts breakfast ahead of Inauguration.
Former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe shows off his commemorative inaugural blanket in Washington DC on January 20, 2020.

Antifa activists faced tear gas, rubber bullets, and several arrests while protesting outside ICE in Portland, Oregon Wednesday night following President Biden's inauguration.

All video in thread shot by @MaranieRae for @N2Sreports
Something @MaranieRae focused on with her footage was the use of a thermal fogger.

These basically are normally sold as a pesticide shooter, but the police were using it to direct tear gas etc at the protesters.

They often had it on.

At 33 seconds you can hear it turn *off*
As police unloaded a huge amount of tear gas (as well as other munitions) on the crowd, who sometimes tried to kick the canisters away, you can hear the police using the thermal fogger to keep pushing the gas back at the protesters.

THREAD: "F*** Biden!" Antifa activists smashed windows and spray-painted Democratic Party of Oregon offices in Portland Wednesday afternoon after the Inauguration of Joe Biden.

Eight were arrested.

Filmed by @MaranieRae for @N2Sreports
Antifa scuffled with police when they arrived beforehand at their meeting place of Revolutionary Hall.

Police had confiscated flag poles and apparently a knife beforehand.

Very bizarrely, an officer actually wielded the apparently confiscated knife during the fight. (See 1:30)
To emphasize how unusual this is: See the cop holding the knife during this scuffle.

When I've seen cops confiscate knives or guns, they usually clear/secure the weapon and get it away from the situation.

I've never seen it be handled in an ensuing conflict.

THREAD: @T_Jones_Media, @StringerBoston and I filmed throughout the day for @N2Sreports in DC as #Inauguration2021 occurred.

The presence of thousands of troops in the city dwarfed all others.

All footage in thread available to license. Much of it is 4K resolution and/or 60FPS.
I spoke to Former Virginia Governor @TerryMcAuliffe who told me “I cannot tell you how excited I am that we finally have this day.

“Number one, Trump is finally gone. Number two, peace, unity, the speech today was spectacular. It’s a new start for America.”
Notably, many other police agencies were present in DC. This footage by @T_Jones_Media shows some of the 200 reported NYPD officers who patrolled Washington DC today.

On the eve of Joe Biden's Inauguration, 25,000 National Guard troops and thousands of police officers including many from outside agencies protect Washington DC.

A dozen troops were removed from the security detail Tuesday due to alleged affiliation with "far-right" groups.
While most of downtown is totally blocked, there are checkpoints to get into some areas of access.

In addition to prohibited items sign, press are told that they will not be allowed to wear protective gear such as gas masks, bulletproof vests, or helmets inside the secure area.
It's worth noting that agencies beyond the National Guard are present.

For example, this U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent is standing alongside the National Guard outside the Men's Wearhouse and Sephora at L and Connecticut.
