📺 Watch First Minister @NicolaSturgeon deliver an update on the latest Covid statistics, including vaccination numbers, in @ScotParl - before taking questions from MSPs in #FMQs.

💻 Watch live from 12:30pm at scottishparliament.tv
First Minister @NicolaSturgeon at #FMQs: "I will give a breif update to today's statistics. 1,201 new cases were reported yesterday, that is 5.6% of all of the tests carried out."
NS: "The total number of cases now stands at 176,533. There are currently 1,938 in hospital, that is a decrease of 33 from yesterday". #FMQs
NS: "And 142 people are in intensive care, which is also a decrease of 3 from the number yesterday. However, I regret to report that in the last 24 hours a further 82 deaths were registered of patients who had first tested positive in the previous 28 days." #FMQs
NS: "So the total number of people who have died under that daily measurement is now 5,970. Yet again, I want to send my condolences to anyone that has lost a loved one." #FMQs
NS: "Around 60% of people over 80 have now had the first dose of vaccine. Over 70s will start to be vaccinated next week, and all of them along with those who are clinically vulnerable will have had the first does by the middle of February." #FMQs
NS: "I will make no apology for the fact that we did prioritize care homes first with the vaccine. Not just because that is what the JCVI recommended but because we know that else are some of the most vulnerable." #FMQs
NS: "We have now viturally completed vaccinations of care homes - around 95% - there will be efforts to get that percentage up. We have effectively completed the vaccinations of older residents in care homes." #FMQs
NS: "We are on track to not just meet but exceed our vaccination targets." #FMQs
NS: "The vast majority of over 80s will be vaccinated by the first dose by the start of next week." #FMQs
NS: "What we are doing is building a vaccination programme that has a sustainable pace, where we are using the supplies we have where we can meet and then exceed the targets we have.." #FMQs
NS: "Just to be clear, we've effectively finished vaccinating care homes, in terms of older residents, and that is really important. Because hopefully that will reduce the number of people in care homes that otherwise might have died from this virus." #FMQs
NS: "Now that achievement, of fully vaccinating care homes, hasn't been achieved in England. Now we are going through vaccinating the over 80s, and I think we will exceed our targets where the vast majority will be vaccinated by the start of next week." #FMQs
NS: "Every single day we will seek to address and confront the problems those on the front lines experience, but this programme of vaccinations is going well thanks to the efforts of people across the country." #FMQs
NS: "To listen to Scottish Labour and Jackie Baillie you wouldn't think we actually have the lowest levels of COVID in the whole of the UK. Of course they are too high and we'll contiune to do more to suppress the virus further." #FMQs
NS: "The 100,000 milestone that was passed this week for the numbers of people dying in the UK is grim. It should be something that lives with, haunts and is imprinted on the minds and hearts of everybody that has been a decision makers during this pandemic." #FMQs
NS: "The death rate in Scotland is lower than other parts of the UK, but frankly it is still too high." #FMQs
NS: "I have a duty and responsibility to tackle transphobia in my own party. As First Minister, to make sure that the Scottish Government protects and enhances the rights of trans people. But I don't anyone can sit back and rest on their laurels." #FMQs
NS: "I am a life long feminist, I understand the concerns that women have about misogyny and the erosion of women's rights. But as a women, I know the threat to my safety is from abusive men. It is not from trans-women." #FMQs
NS: "We can never allow a debate to become a cover for transphobia. Transphobia is wrong, it's as wrong as racism, it's as wrong as homophobia, trans people have the same rights as any of us to feel safe, secure and valued for who they are." #FMQs
NS: "And I as First Minister, as leader of the SNP and just as a citizen of this country will stand against prejudice, discrimination and bigotry wherever I see it. And this isn't a matter of political expediency, it's a matter of conscience." #FMQs

🛫 As Boris Johnson sets off on his jaunt to Scotland, he'd hope people forget his catalogue of broken promises.

🔎 We thought we'd remind him.

👀 Their latest attack on workers' rights is only the most recent example of why you can't trust the Tories.

There's hardly enough space in an article to contain what Boris Johnson thinks of Scotland, devolution, Scottish spending, and the NHS... so here's a thread 👇

1⃣ Just a few months ago, Boris Johnson said devolution is "a disaster".
2⃣ While Boris Johnson seemingly liked devolution as Mayor of London, he told Tory MPs he did not "currently see a case" for devolving more powers from Westminster to Scotland and other nations.
