“I just wanted to tell Marty’s story and show people that someone like Marty walking backwards on the street might seem a little peculiar at first. But he’s got a past, he’s got a present and he has a future," Hosier said.

In the film, Marty reveals how he became estranged from his family — his wife and two kids — and hopes to be reunited with them someday, how he began hearing voices and how, about 11 years ago, he began walking backwards.
