No one has the right to order the eviction of any one based on their tribe but we all have the right as citizens to stand against impunity, wanton murders & untrammeled destruction of properties by the morbidly entitled, who believe they own the country & can do as pleased. ⚖️

There is no point belaboring the sentiments in the action of those speaking for the vulnerable in society when the needed conversation has been triggered and the needful is being done with compliance. Nigeria remains a republic & we must coexist peaceably without infringement.

There is no one more Nigerian than any Nigerian and our leaders must avoid being negligent about security of the people they are meant to serve. When gunmen keep striking at will every responsible parent will do the needful to protect their family where the Govt has failed.

Igboho may not have the right to issue an eviction notice to anyone but when leaders fail in their responsibility even the least expected will do what they can to stop the bleeding & draw the battle line instead of waiting for the onslaught to persist while Govt remains unmoved.

There are Governors in the SW who will put things in proper perspective since the outrage of the people has been heard and understood. Criminals (regardless of their tribe & profession) operating kidnapping rings will no longer have a base in the region.

This is what the people are saying. Bandits burning farms & setting properties ablaze must be brought to book with the collective action of the public and the authorities. Govt can’t work alone as there are no record of successful arrest/prosecution of these Marauders till date.

If herders are going to be allowed to carry arms in the region there must be an equal legislation of arms for people to defend themselves against criminals who may want to take laws into their own hands, especially when police seems to be powerless against the militia.

The message must not be lost in the sentiments of the agitators who are within their rights to raise alarm of an impending bloodbath in the region, a pattern well established in the northern part of Nigeria due to ethnic sentiments. We won’t have that here. We’re choosing Life.

People reading the report need not hate on Mr Falana SAN who is simply pointing out the provisions of the law of the land. There mustn’t be any form of discrimination along tribal/ethnic lines. Criminals are who they are regardless of where they are from. Single them out.
