Here's something RPN showed us about the old testament Tabernacle and it's significance to the new testament priests on how to approach God. You'll see the importance of holiness & consecration as a new creation.
Thread. 1/9
1. The Altar of burnt sacrifices.
The first place, after you come through the gate, is the altar of burnt sacrices. This is where the priest offers the sacrifices to God. For us, this is where we die. We die to the world in the place of prayers.
Romans 12v1, Psalm 141v2
2. The Bronze Lever
After the sacrifices, before the priests go into the holy place, he uses the Bronze Lever. It's used for washing their hands & feet. This washing is the effect of God's Word. It's symbolic of the guiding principles of Truth. In washing the hands it means you
don't serve God by effort, & in washing the feet, it means you don't approach God carelessly.
Its an abomination to approach God without washing with water, even though you're born again. For the new testament it tells us to wash with pure water (Exo 30v17-21 || Heb 10v19-22)
This was after Jesus already shed His blood, it says "let us come with our bodies washed with pure water" Heb 10v22
We wash with water by confessing the Word of God Eph 5v26. At the place of confession you acknowledge your sins & what the blood of Jesus has done for you 1 Jn 1v9
In approaching God it begins with confession of sins, then you declare the Word to edify yourself, before you can now worship/pray.
There are those who approach God in prayer without first confessing their sins, even in their filthy state.
When we come to the throne of Grace, the first thing we're told to do is obtain mercy, then we find grace to help us in time of need. Heb 4v16
Mercy takes care of the things that will hinder grace, & make it of non effect in our lives. Mercy because of what you can't pay for.
RPN says, there's no provision with God for serving Him the way you like. David tried it & learnt a hard lesson. There's the prescribed manner for serving God, it's called the due order of service. The manifestation of the glory of God is a result of observing the due order.
We've been made priests unto God. These things were written for our learning: there's the due order in approaching God. God is the definition of purity & in His light we're in ourselves filthy. Always repent before God. Lay apart all filth & the sins that easily beset.
I was led to read Christ's letter to the 7 Churches in Revelations 2-3. This time my attention was drawn to these things:
1. Jesus told the Churches: I KNOW THY WORKS. Eh? Jesus is Grace. Grace knows our works? How?🤷🏽♂️
A Must Read💕 1/11
I thought they said Grace means your works don't count before God? 🤔
So why is Christ focusing on their works? I think He should be saying "I don't see your works.." or "Your works may be imperfect but I don't see them. My grace is sufficient for you"
"I know thy works"? How?
Then to the Church in Sardis Jesus said "for I have not found your works perfect before God." Revelation 3v2
Imperfect works? I thought all that matters is grace & not works? So why is He weighing their works?
Listen, Jesus dealt with each one of them according to their "works"

John the Baptist introduces Jesus: "After me will come One more powerful than I. I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit" Mark 1v7-8
Jesus did not baptize anybody with the Holy Spirit while He was on earth. HE BAPTIZES NOW in the Spirit.
This is one truth about Jesus Christ that the four gospels unequivocally testifies to.
See Matth 3v11, Mark 1v7-8, Luke 3v16, John 1v33
"He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit". But nobody was baptized with the Spirit while He was on earth, until after He ascended-Acts 1v5-8
Listen, the Great Commission is not only to preach & to save the lost. It is to demonstrate the power of God.
"And they went forth, & preached every where, the Lord working with them, & confirming the word with signs following." Mark 16:20 KJV
That's the Great Commission!
So how come many today are comfortable with a powerless gospel? Is Jesus not the same yesterday, today, & forever?
So how come many are comfortable preaching a dead Jesus (he died for your sins) & not a living & resurrected king? Do you anticipate miracles in your preaching?
