#BREAKING: Minority Leader McCarthy’s statement suggests that Dems rejected his compromise deal to remove Rep. Greene from one of her two committees. The statement also suggests that Dems will instead force a floor vote to strip Rep. Greene of all her committee assignments.

McCarthy and other Republican members sought to avoid a public, recorded vote on Rep. Greene’s committee assignments, precipitated by media and left-wing outrage over her old tweets, so as to anger neither voters nor donors by seemingly endorsing or condemning Greene.

#Editorial: In short, McCarthy’s plan to split the baby with House Dems failed and now each House Republican will likely have to publicly choose between defending a fellow caucus member or caving to the Democrat/Media/Donor Mob, guaranteeing a tough primary challenge next year.
