Most of the time the experts are correct. But how do you distinguish the rare instances when they are wrong?

Notably, @zeynep said that she was contacted by several experts who praised her for saying/writing the correct thing about preparing for the pandemic - but none or few of them had made strong efforts to make sure the public were aware that covid-19 is serious business & 😷s work!
